It has been 8 years since the Grenfell Tower fire
72 people were killed because of greed & dishonesty but not a single arrest has been made.
8 years on, people are still living in unsafe buildings.
We will never forget

From today disabled workers effectively "stop" earning for the rest of the year because of the pay gap between us and non-disabled workers.
That gap sits at 17.2%, with non-disabled employees making about £2.35 more per hour on average.
#DisabilityPayGapDay #FairDues

ALT The image has a magenta background with bold yellow text. It states: "Disability Pay Gap Reaches Staggering Level of £4,300 a Year. As a result, the average Disabled worker is now effectively working for free for nearly two months – from today until the end of the year." At the bottom, it reads "Fair Dues", followed by an emoji of a money bag and the name "Shani Dhanda."

To those saying comments like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check ur facts!
40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, have disabilities or illness, & some who don't have work, want it. A little more compassion & less judgement wouldn't hurt.
Just spotted.... this is a good change for benefits recipients, deductions can be soul-destroying. #budget
"Caps deductions made through Universal Credit at 15% of the standard allowance. Before this Budget, it was 25%... approximately 1.2 million households will keep more of their Universal Credit payment each month, with households expected to be better off by an average of over £420 a year"

A couple of things.
Asylum Seekers can't claim benefits, the money for their accommodation goes straight to the rich Conservative Hotel owners, they can't get Council Houses, and they WANT to work.
Good day.

Do you remember when @GaryLineker said some of the dehumanising language used by the last Tory government about migrants and asylum seekers was reminiscent of Germany in the 30s. And the right were furious. Outrageous they screeched. Well, he wasn't wrong was he.

The Conservative MP at todays Disability Hustings says he doesn't agree with the social model of disability, to boos from the audience. "It's as discredited as critical race theory, it's wokeness gone mad."
Conservatism in a nutshell there.

There's been a SEND electoral silence. Please share and ramp up the volume
With the #GeneralElection only two days away, we’re urging the next government to adopt the recommendations in our manifesto.
It's time for decisive action to resolve the SEND crisis and create a future where families no longer have to battle to secure educational provision.
