We survived Aleyna’s + hazlul existence, watched Ateş and Mercan become cameos in their own story, deal with negative PR, no content from leads ,producer blocks, and disrespect towards the leads, all just to peacefully watch Emsu because who knows when we’ll get them next. 😭💀

Last year, during Season 1, I dedicated practically all my free time to analysing Arafta, not simply as a fan, but from a professional behavioural analysis perspective.
And when I say analysing, I mean frame by frame, expression by expression, microexpression by microexpression. I would pause, rewind, slow down scenes, examine eye movements, body language, facial expressions, emotional responses, and even the smallest changes in behaviour.
Sometimes, I spent up to 36 hours straight working on the analysis of a single episode.
I then wrote and published my detailed psychological and behavioural analyses directly in the comment sections beneath the episodes, explaining the subtle dynamics, emotional patterns, and nonverbal communication between the characters.
Eventually, my analyses extended beyond the series to Emin and İlsu’s interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and real-life public interactions.
While others were watching a series, I was practically conducting a behavioural case study. 😂❤️
And somehow, what started as watching a Turkish drama turned into one of the most fascinating analytical projects I’ve ever undertaken!

#Arafta fans! Have you ever gone out of your way for Emin/Ilsu (staying up all night to make an edit, skipping a family event to watch an episode, etc). I’m looking for examples for an article I’m working on. Respond to this with what you’ve done & and the country you’re from!
I loved this edit so much ! The song choice is so Ender POV, and I love how Emin embodies this role and conveys so much through his eyes alone. He keeps proving that he’s such a versatile actor, always bringing something different to every character he plays🖤

Speaking of show looks, Im im the minority that loved most of Mercan Karahan's outfits and hairdos more than the hot fits many felt we werent getting in Arafta.
Nothing bad about other looks. Just that not everyone can pull off these princess vibes. I will always love this elegant styling of Mercan Karahan on Ilsu the best.

S1 has insane rewatch value, not just bc of the chemistry or the better scenes, it’s bc now we rewatch knowing that ateş has always been in love w/ mercan, she has always been on his mind& he has always wanted her, so all of these scenes mean so much more

Some things are so rare that they simply cannot go unnoticed and Emin Günenç & İlsu Demirci are the perfect example of that. Their talent, dedication, sacrifices and all the heart they put into their work are reflected in the results and no one can deny it. They have reached so many people, touched so many hearts and built a connection with an audience that continues to support them. It is truly a shame that Rains Production and GQ Media failed to appreciate them and keep them the way they deserved, because they both deserved so, so much more. They deserved better opportunities, greater recognition and the chance to show the world even more of what they are capable of. But in the end; results speak louder than words and theirs speak for themselves.
Arafta is EmSu and no one else. Arafta is MerTeş and no one else. Their work, their sacrifices, their dedication and all the heart they put into every single moment are reflected in the results. You can see it in the audience they have reached, the people they have moved and the connection that continues to live on even beyond the screen. What they built together cannot simply be erased or replaced, because some connections leave a mark that goes far beyond a project. I am incredibly proud of both of them and we are truly, truly proud of everything they have achieved. They deserve every bit of love, every recognition and every success that comes their way. Their chemistry is something truly special, something no one can erase, recreate, or replace. And we cannot wait to see them together again in another project, to have another opportunity to admire their talent, their connection and that unique chemistry that makes them so special to us. We genuinely hope that one day they will share the screen again and give us another story to fall in love with, because seeing them together is something we wish for with all our hearts.
Arafta will always be MerTeş. Emin and İlsu will always be the ones who made it so special for us. And no one will ever be able to take that away from us. Period.
