I think everyone is wondering what really happened with the frontier labs that they aren't telling us. Either they are keeping a gnarly secret or want to stall competitors who are starting to offer reasonably priced alternatives.

I'm starting to believe every Frontier model wants to piss of sub users in favor of higher cost API. The risk of lower cost options will hopefully win out.

There has been a lot of debate about AI scraping the internet and essentially stealing data to train itself on. With the recent millennium achievements going into question, it's interesting to take a step back. Like Google, we inevitably become the product. Our data, our experiences, our prompts etc. Wouldn't it be amazing if AI is advancing faster because we are all contributing our own domain expertise. On one hand I want to believe that people have generally good intentions, but that little itch in the back of my mind says otherwise.
