si, el coquí es emblemático de Puerto Rico y está en peligro de extinción, pero el protagonista de mi album no es un coquí, ES EL SAPO CONCHO; una especie también nativa de Puerto Rico y en peligro de extinción. ¡¡¡CONCHO!!!
An icon of Puerto Rico, the coquí frog is being threatened by development and climate change. Biologists hope Bad Bunny’s new album, highlighting the coquí’s plight, will raise awareness of the crises facing both the frog and Puerto Rico itself. 🔗 on.natgeo.com/3DXF1uu
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
It is not a coquí, but a Puerto Rican crested toad (sapo concho, in Spanish). Bad Bunny himself has clarified it: x.com/sanbenito/stat… The differences are easily seen here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Ri… Furthermore, Bad Bunny's animation frog is named “Concho”, which is quite a clue if you think about it.

Only 20 minutes is needed for anther opening in #Arabidopsis! Timelapse done by a vertical spinning-disk microscopy on flowers attached to plants. Specific desiccation of anther tissue vs. a fully watered filaments is clearly visible.

Stomata are involved in sporangia dehiscence in flowering plant! very cool
#PREPRINT A century of debate: Is anther opening a passive or plant-regulated process? My PhD student @AKampova showed: stomata-driven desiccation induces very fast PCD in anther walls, which complete the job! Thanks to collabs @matesakf and @MoritzNowack biorxiv.org/cgi/content/shor…
