Utterly astounded to see people actually criticising the two brave Police officers who had to detain the man armed with a knife in Golders Green. He had a knife, had caused serious harm to others and could have been wearing a device. They did everything perfectly in my view.

Looking forward to finally getting some of the new off-road vehicles operational over the next few months. The incorrect ambulance crest is something I'm already aware of before it's pointed out!

In early November I started in post as the Operating Unit Manager for Specialist Operations, looking after both HART and SORT. The team have been incredibly welcoming and I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve over the next year.

New role! New job!

I've come to realise of late the term "green family", often used in the ambulance world is a total lie. You can be part of it unless you're in a specialist role or control (EOC). In those cases you're absolutely emphatically not part of it. That much is clear.

Working in the control room has been such an incredible experience and I will miss everyone that I had the pleasure of working alongside.

After 2.5 years leading an Emergency Operations Centre, today I am starting a new role in Specialist Operations looking after HART and SORT across the region. I cannot wait to get started!

Another year, another control room week. Recognising those who make the ultimate difference behind the scenes is so important.
