That we as a society accept the shooting of our children on a regular basis as a costs of some sort of “freedom” is baffling, utterly grotesque and a sort of collective madness. That we are unique in this disease which accepts this outcome is disturbing indeed.
I certainly don’t agree that legitimate criticism of the Israeli state is antisemitic as criticisms of any state in and of itself is not evidence of bias. That said, the vitriol, the hate, the ugliness I see online consistently against jewish people really disgusts me.

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.
If this is a suggestion of hypocrisy, you are being grossly deceptive. You can be strongly against gerrymandering and still recognize that if you let Trump and Texas get away with their norm breaking without response and retaliation, you are simply inviting more bad behavior.
Former President Obama in July 2020:
“For too long, gerrymandering has contributed to stalled progress and warped our representative government.”

To my friends in #NJ11, here’s why I’m supporting my good friend Tom @Malinowski. I hope you’ll vote for him in the upcoming primary. He will serve New Jersey well as he returns to Congress!
we spend billions on projecting America power in all kinds of ways - e.g., ambassadorial residents / state dinners / Air Force 1. And we are too cheap to provide one of the 2 Art 2 Constitutuonal Offices with their own bathroom? Seems counterintuitive.
The courage demonstrated by Iranian women and men protesting this brutal regime in the face of deadly crackdown - 3000 dead and counting - is extraordinary. Knock on wood but this time feels different. #IranProtests
This is precisely wrong on at least three levels. First, the thug cop was not in a life or death situation. Second, in a civilized society, there must be a check on the state’s use of force. Juries decide the line of what’s reasonable. To me, killer cop here was not reasonable.
CBS is doomed for failure in the hands of @bariweiss who thinks Epstein friend @AlanDersh is a voice that should be elevated.
Bari Weiss says she wants to use her new perch at CBS News to “redraw the lines of what falls in the 40 yards of acceptable debate” in American political and cultural life. She says the aim is to sideline voices like Hasan Piker, Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes, and elevate “charismatic” figures such as Alan Dershowitz and Dana Loesch who reflect “where the vast majority of Americans actually are.”

Here are 6 Senators that IMO sold our country out.
And they did it for NOTHING.
They got ZERO -a pinky promise from Republicans to maybe revisit next year.

DO YOU KNOW ANY MORE NAMES?
The fascist, Kahanist Smotrich proving again he and Ben Gvir are the problem in, of course, grossly racist comments. We don’t share values with these thugs.

Ezra is right—political violence begets political violence and it descends to madness—anyone who has studied failed states and places with gross human rights violations can confirm. We aren’t there yet but those on left & right need to take decisive steps to not descend further.
In the last few years we've seen:
- The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer
- The Storming of the Capitol and pipe bombs left at the RNC and DNC
- The break-in to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and the brutal on Paul Pelosi
- Multiple assassination attempts against Trump
- The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of on State Senator John Hoffman and his wife
- Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson
- The assassination of Charlie Kirk
Political violence is contagious. It is spreading. It is not confined to one side or belief system. It should terrify us all.
The foundation of a free society is the ability to participate in it without fear of violence. Political violence is always an attack against us all. You have to be so blind not to see that.

Being kind boosts mental health more than seeking joy.
Evidence: Doing 3 random acts of kindness a week is enough to reduce depression, anxiety & loneliness. It's more beneficial than doing nice things for yourself.
Self-care feels good, but generosity builds lasting bonds.

I’ve been a skeptic about this. But what happened today is the strongest possible case for DC statehood that I can imagine

The Israeli military killed at last 111 Palestinians over the past 24 hours and injured 820, including 91 in aid massacres (666 injured).
Yesterday, they killed 104, including 60 in aid massacres.
Tuesday: 113 killed, 22 in aid massacres
This is Israel's "humanitarian pause"
It seems almost inevitable. These self proclaimed Christians that want everyone to abide by their twisted version of morality turn out to be total hypocrites. And of course he’s also got a persecution complex to boot.
