Soaz & Peke always talked so highly of him that I was almost jealous, but I got to experience a lot of the why. And no words really come close.
So pure hearted, never second guessed sacrificing for his friends, and always had a joke to lift the mood.
Rest in peace, Cyamigo.
Inspired overforced so badly multiple times this game, to the point that I wonder if this was a complete disagreement about the draft and win capabilities. He played as if it was lost unless they get 5k ahead by 20 mins
If you blended out the names and told me this was a Division 2 ERL game, I would have believed you.
Ugly League of Legends.
I’m honestly somewhat incapable of living for myself. If I don’t have a purpose tied to another person, someone I can be hardworking for, it all breaks down a little. Achieving for the sake of achieving just feels like quiet narcissism. Which is why I loved esports camaraderie.

[BREAKING] Riot announces League Classic will end after the current season ❌
"We’ll then put Classic back in the box for now, with the goal of bringing it back, likely as an event mode with adjustments and additions."
"We are issuing refunds on Classic-specific content that will no longer be usable, and shipping the Act II Classic Battle Pass in 26.21 with a free track only."

Barely through Kierkegaard’s “The Sickness Unto Death’s” A. section, and I’m already sitting with tears in my eyes.
Never have I read a more heartfelt account of despair itself, and how deep it cuts into the self - even if that is just the outlined “beginning” of the disease.
Yes and no, but one problem: survivorship bias.
Age is definitely not as much of a factor as often touted. But patch changes, and the need to be inventive require a certain mental flexibility which is not necessarily tied to age, but I’d assume is more correlated with youth.
This gets posted by every publication every event so I might as well say it since I’ll get ragebaited eventually.
The only true detractor to a player’s skill is their work ethic & passion in what they do. Not because they’re closing in on 30.
Deft is just coming back from the military and I’m confident will be one of the best ADs because he dedicates his life to the game.
Core, Faker, Rookie & Dhokla are top 4 on this list and possibly every future list we get it. They’ll all go through ruts throughout a year like any player, and will climb out of it because of the time spent at improving, understanding the meta better or their own role on the team.
For some players their interests will change, life forces them to change their priorities, they could have wrist issues or some will genuinely burn out.
We need to stop this obsession with their age and this collective retirement-watch that inevitably impacts the player and how they’re perceived.
It’s the micro of the macro structure that high elo players are unable to replicate consistently.
Everyone understands “macro”, but if you slot in high elo players into comp games in top tier 1, they’ll consistently make granular mistakes costing the entire game.
You notice this a lot in early season boot camps - if one team has already played a week of scrims, you’ll literally lose to 10th teams until you’re back at the comp pace.
Even just walking into river at the wrong time (showing early in the wrong spot) snowballs beyond control.
Maybe a Western PoV, but:
Faker is more famous than he is an actual pull factor.
He might be the face of LoL, but he seems to have very little personality nor gameplay elements warranting continuously following him. There are a ton of players I’d rather watch if I tune in.
Fan perspective of players vs internal, esports perspectives will never cease to amaze, both in how we value certain players and in how we regard them as sheer humans.
Wolves in sheep’s clothing, and all.
Player Piano (Vonnegut) might as well be a lamentation on AI, it even points to it in parts. Great read.
