I spent weeks studying Stacks before the recent move. What kept pulling me back wasn’t the usual Layer-2 narrative. It was the quiet consistency: a network designed so Bitcoin itself could earn, stay in self-custody, and still settle on $BTC Most projects talk about β€œbringing DeFi to Bitcoin.” @Stacks was already shipping the rails for it. Two weeks ago, $STX was still grinding in a relatively quiet range. Then $BTC strengthened, and $STX followed as it often does when $BTC momentum returns. But the real shift came on 30th September. That day, @Stacks Labs officially announced that founder @muneeb (Muneeb Ali) would become CEO, effective October 15, 2026. Read along to discover in details what has changed since the announcement. -🧡 @muneeb @Stacks $STX

This is well spot on. Adding a new skill is now a must on the space, I've realised this a while before now. We just have to stay positioned to ensure we live life and not surviving it through out.
If you’re a Web3 content creator who only writes, please learn another skill. I’m so serious. I’ve seen video creators lose contests and still get projects reaching out to them because they saw their videos. But how often do you see a writer lose a thread contest and get projects reaching out to them? Exactly. If you’re a regular Web3 writer whose content is mostly tweeting thoughts, shitposting and paid partnerships, you need to start thinking beyond that. Either build a strong writing skill like technical writing, copywriting or SEO that you can offer directly to projects, or learn an onchain skill. Smart contract development, onchain analysis, data analytics, even learning the basics of meme coin trading. Something. Because you cannot rely on paid partnerships alone to survive as a Web3 creator. And the earlier you realise this, the better for you.

You've probably helped a web3 project grow its community before. Maybe you wrote a thread, hosted a space, or just pointed a founder in the right direction. You did the work. They got the users. And you got... nothing. That's the default. Most of the time, introducing a team to a tool earns you a thank-you and a screenshot of their launch. @Vibewatch_io is trying to break that pattern with their Affiliate program. It's community intelligence for web3 teams. It reads the Discords, Telegrams, and X accounts where a project's community actually talks, scores the sentiment, and hands the team a weekly report. Instead of a community manager scrolling five servers every morning, they get one summary: here's what people are feeling, here's what spiked, here's what needs attention. What makes it useful is that it reaches places most sentiment tools never see, the private Discords and Telegrams where real conversation happens. It also learns the community's own language over time (correct a score once and future reports get smarter), tags messages so support issues, feature requests, and price talk stay separate, and delivers the weekly report to Slack, email, or Notion. The public Stacks Vibe Index shows the same idea in action: a live dashboard pulling real-time sentiment from a dozen Stacks communities, with weekly written breakdowns and API/MCP access so teams (or AI agents) can query it anytime. The affiliate side is where it gets interesting. You refer a team. If they subscribe and pay, you earn 50% of every invoice they pay, for twelve months, on every plan. Not fifty percent of the first payment. Every payment, month after month, for a year. What that looks like for one referred team on a yearly plan: $114 on Lite, $594 on Core, $1494 on Pro. Those are the only numbers that matter, and they're the only ones I'm using. A few things keep it honest. Free trials and zero-dollar invoices pay nothing, so your first commission arrives with their first real payment. Each commission waits thirty days before payout, which covers refunds. Dub runs the program and sends money to your bank or in USDC. Applications approve automatically unless Dub flags one as risky, that's their system, not a guarantee from me. Who can commit to this affiliate program? if your audience includes founders, community managers, or agencies running several projects, you already have the connections. One or two referrals sitting in the background for a year is a quiet income stream. If your audience is mostly traders or builders who don't run communities, the numbers stay theoretical. You don't need a new audience. You need to point the right people at this. The page below shows the three plans, the exact split, the hold period, and the payout options. You can read it and decide based on your personal convictions. @vibewatch_io $STX

Perps dominate on-chain derivatives, but options account for less than 1% of perp DEX volume. If that gap starts to close, it will likely come from cheaper hedging, more efficient margin and options liquidity that doesn't depend on rewards, with value potentially flowing to the infrastructure underneath. The problem with perps is that being right isn't enough. A $BTC backtest of 10x longs that eventually turned profitable found they still faced these liquidation probabilities along the way: - 60 days: 18% - 90 days: 29% - 180 days: 47% An option buyer can't be liquidated. The most they can lose is the premium they paid. September 2026 set a record for on-chain options activity: - Notional volume: ~$5B, roughly double the previous month - Premium: $85M, up roughly one-third - Open interest: peaked near $2.5B Even after that record, on-chain is still the opposite of traditional markets, where options dwarf futures. In 2025, they traded 88.65B options contracts versus 30.64B futures contracts, almost 3x more. Earlier on-chain options protocols struggled with fragmented liquidity across strikes and expiries, expensive hedging, stale quotes exploited by arbitrageurs, and excessive collateral requirements. Selling a BTC call for $1,800 could require $100,000 in collateral. Building options alongside deep perp liquidity makes hedging cheaper and improves capital efficiency. @Decentralisedco’s example shows portfolio margin reducing required collateral from $100,000 to $15,000 for a $BTC call, raising monthly returns on locked capital from 1.8% to 12%. The main players occupy different positions in the options stack: - @HyperliquidX: Deep perp liquidity and shared margin for hedging. - @DeriveXYZ: Options infrastructure, professional liquidity and APIs for other applications. - @paradex: Institutional block flow, with daily volume reaching $58.7M after its Paradigm integration before open interest declined. - @ryskfinance: Covered calls that let HYPE, BTC and ETH holders earn premiums. - Hypercall (@SynapseProtocol): Options built around Hyperliquid's perp liquidity. Derive captured over 90% of on-chain options premium in September. Hypercall's rewards drove a 50x increase in notional with little change in premium. Demand could expand through new on-chain assets and embedded options, allowing lending protocols to offer liquidation protection and perp platforms to integrate downside hedging. Two models could help attract options sellers: - @metricxyz: Uses liquidity pools to distribute options, but each strike and expiry requires separate capital. - @papertrade_xyz: Uses token incentives to attract sellers, with perp hedging to manage risk. In a BTC backtest, daily hedging cut the worst weekly payout burden from 20 weeks of premium income to 10. On-chain options growth depends on sustainable market-maker economics, deeper liquidity and demand that persists beyond incentive-driven volume.

Base is about to let you launch meme coins on top of real stocks: tokenized equities on @base started maybe eight weeks ago with 10. We’re up to about 50 now... we’ll hit 250 with liquidity in the next few weeks, and the goal is 500-plus by year end.. all liquid, all payable, so people can launch meme coins around them and trade them. this brings in people who don’t have access to equities, or whose access is expensive and annoying... they’re already trading in the trenches, so now they can trade more things with a social layer on top, in a connected way. expansion of assets means expansion of the market and the people participating with us. cc @jessepollak
Today during the @base summit had a chance to ask @jessepollak how do they plan to win attention in memecoins when Coinbase distribution alone isn’t enough His answer makes me think we might have a base szn coming soon πŸ‘€
