Two years ago, we were going around town filming people for the music video for my song, The City. We met incredible human beings and heard stories that I could only have imagined reading about in books.
Luis was only 22 years old when he left his family and hometown in Texas to come to NYC on 9/11 as a firefighter. He saved people. He lost colleagues. He was scared, but he doesn’t regret it. “It made me a better person. A better dad. A better brother.”
This was the very first time he had come back to NYC since 2001. He was so kind to let us record his testimony.
“It changed the history of the United States.”
To be this brave. God bless you, Luis.
Just published: "TRIAL, my sophomore EP, Out 10/23 ". Check it out and subscribe to get everything I'm making.

One year since my first EP, Heartsplit, came out.
It was such a huge relief because I was having so much anxiety and depressive thoughts that I literally thought I was going to die before it ever came out. Anxiety about life in general, not the music.
And one of the songs connected me with so many of you. Unironically that song is about depression.
Chained. The first song I ever recorded. My voice sounds a little raspy. Too much smoking, drinking and screaming. Back then.
Anyhow, thank you to everyone who still listens to those songs every single day.
I am so lucky.

no, me having a head injury wasn’t part of the promo for my new song Everybody Bleeds - although it’s kinda of a funny coincidence

PUZZLE PIECE OUT NOW
I first wrote this as a ballad. It started quietly. Just me sitting with the idea of someone feeling like the last missing piece in your life. That kind of love where, for a moment, everything feels complete.
I thought it was the saddest song I’d ever written. Then my co-writer Mike Ales came up with this wild melody and it cracked the song open. I stopped holding it gently and let it become bigger. Louder. More urgent.
It felt right. Raw and honest. It’s about having loved someone who felt like home... and having gone through everything just to see it not work out.

@AlwynMorrison - Lenox Hill (Stefan Storm Remix) [Those Nights] (Official Music Video) | Illustrate Reacts
Dreamy electropop remix by Swedish producer Stefan Storm (The Sound of Arrows—past credits on Alison Goldfrapp and Lady Gaga hits). Blends lush, cinematic soundscapes with raw lyrics on young love, memory, and eternal moments that linger. Escapist late-night vibe for winter introspection, evoking Goldfrapp's ethereal pop with euphoric electronic edges. New listeners will connect via nostalgic hooks and soaring production—perfect for fans craving emotional depth in chill session. Music video dropping on the same day; major US/EU radio campaign launches week of January 7, 2026 + TikTok nostalgia campaign targeting Gen Z starting December 2025.
