Couple notes on this… - As @zkeefer and I wrote in Jan., Ballard was very clear that this may happen. - Even end of last year, Steichen felt “safer”. But we will see. - This is also a well built-out and respected, tenured scouting department that Irsay-Gordon has spent a

We don't know the full truth for how the decision was made for Hurts to play in that game, but whatever the process was it needs to be brought to light and never followed again

If Shane Steichen becomes available after the season, I see him as by far the most likely 2027 Eagles Head Coach, if the Eagles also make a move.
Colts relieved Chris Ballard of his duties as General Manager.

Not saying Peyton couldn’t be a good GM but the Colts insistence on throwing former HOF players for them into these spots is interesting to say the least 😅
Colts have explored hiring Peyton Manning as GM, per @dpshow:

They ran a zone read at Rashan Gary and it was everything I wanted.

Hoping to see Jalen return better than ever from this! In the meanwhile Philly, get ready for a long season ahead… The good news is you have the best GM in the league and quite a few assets over the next two seasons for him to work with as well! It won’t be easy but they come out even better on the other side
BREAKING: #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli after further testing. Hurts is clinically stable and will be on blood thinners, preventing him from participating in football activities. His prognosis is “very good,” with a full recovery and no long-term effects expected, per his agent Nicole Lynn.

The drafts have been an issue over the past two years especially and the 1st Round has always been a struggle for Ballard… it’s hard to make a living in this league when you’re struggling with your biggest picks but Ballard managed to make it 10 years so props to him The Sauce trade was most likely the nail in the coffin and I still don’t know how you justify that one… just brutal and more than likely a reset for the Colts moving forward. Good news is they’re in a solid position to do so aside from the Daniel Jones contract
Colts announced that General Manager Chris Ballard has been relieved.

"I'm going to give Jerry [Jones] his flowers on one level, he's a great owner... But he's a terrible general manager. The results are the results, and this is a results-based industry. If you don't win, it doesn't matter." @wingoz diagnosing the problem with the Cowboys.

It’s incredibly fun watching the effort from top down on this defense! Whole different level of intensity play in and play out from the group vs last year

Karl Brooks has looked better and better as this season has gone on With all the injuries to this Packers team they need guys like Brooks to take a step. LVN and him have shown up in a big way with the absences of Micah, Edge Cooper, and now Hargrave

Sadly, two years too late
Ballard is likely done.

1. Why would you switch all of the verbiage/terminology in the offense when you’re simply promoting someone from within the building? 2. If that’s the case why did it look the EXACT SAME when he was in the Sean Payton offense this past game? Bo has taken a lot of flack and arguably too much for how’s he played this year but the Broncos continuing to pretend as if he’s not playing any different/worse than last year is just attracting more people to criticize them. I know they can’t necessarily come out and say things like “Bo needs to target the middle of the field more” and “It hasn’t been good enough” but they can choose to be quiet around the whole situation. They’re just adding more and more pressure to a situational that’s already boiled over at this point
Per @JayGlazer, the #Broncos changed their offensive terminology when Davis Webb became OC in the offseason. When Sean Payton took play-calling duties back from Webb, he switched it back to his terminology. All the changing verbiage has played a role in Bo Nix’s struggles. Payton is confident Nix will be fine.

Ramsey was everywhere today… He’s not the same player he used to be on the backend but as a roamer around the middle of the field and line of scrimmage he’s still a high level player
Jalen Ramsey had himself a day 👏 - 10 TOT - 4 TFL - 2 sacks, one being the game winner

Justin… It just feels like he has no answers on a play to play basis and I don’t mean that as a slight to him. That’s forced his hand into playing hero ball and forcing passes like this where you’d normally see him take the sack/throw it away Justin isn’t blameless either though… he has to stop playing in survival mode before anything else if he’s wants to turn it around. Bad news is Adam Gase may be his OC before long 😬

I figured the Jaguars penalty issues would improve as the season went on but it seems to be getting worse… This team has everything they need to be a contender but you can’t expect to win big games when you’re beating yourselves damn near every other snap

Trevor Lawrence has seven intermediate middle pass attempts this half, per @NextGenStats Bo Nix has 10 all season.

CJ is looking more and more like that rookie version of himself now that he’s gotten a solid supporting cast around him. Unreal throw in a huge moment before the end of half!
CJ still made a perfect throw under pressure. HOUvsJAX on NFL Network Stream on @NFLPlus

I’m not saying violence solves all problems but I do firmly believe that the quickest way to turn a brat into a functional member of society is to allow them to experience the consequences of their actions.
