It is important to always remember that "far from being a fixed entity, cognitive reserve evolves due to interactions with experience and learning, and can therefore be strengthened throughout life." Enjoy this great article on lifelong brain function: sharpbrains.com/blog/2025/10…

Just like you would not let a person run around your company accessing anything without any controls, you need controls and security for your digital agents.
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m

The Copenhagen City Heart Study is a good argument for that. About 8,500 people followed for 25 years, and tennis topped the list at 9.7 extra years of life expectancy versus sedentary, with jogging at 3.2 and gym sessions at 1.5. It's observational, so some of that is who ends up playing tennis, but the whole top of the ranking is sports you can't do alone.

I'm hosting a dinner next month in Boston for scientists and engineers interested in safely increasing human intelligence. I'm interested in both treating cognitive impairment and helping healthy people improve their cognitive abilities. Could we develop treatments that help people learn faster, reason better, and solve harder problems? I'm especially interested in approaches that could work in adults. There's a lot we don't know, including what's possible and what would be safe. I'd like to bring together people across neuroscience, genetics, drug development, and computational biology/ML to discuss promising research and what it would take to turn it into useful treatments. I'm also interested in backing the right founding team if one comes together. If you're working in this area or have relevant expertise, please apply at the link below. Happy to cover travel if needed. Or if you can't make it to Boston, let us know - I may host one virtually for those who can't attend in person.

I am deeply honored to have my work at the University of South Carolina Brain Health Center featured by Santiago Ramón y Cajal · el Legado in Spain. The feature brings together all three components of my permanent installation at the Brain Health Center and places the project within the larger international conversation surrounding the life and legacy of Santiago Ramón y Cajal. My sincere thanks to José Adserias for giving my work such a thoughtful place within this extraordinary archive devoted to Cajal’s life, work, and legacy. It means a great deal to see a project that grew from my research as a Fulbright España Senior Research Fellow at the Instituto Cajal in Madrid return to Spain in this way. The feature is available in both Spanish and English: Spanish: santiagoramonycajal.org/2026… English: santiagoramonycajal.org/en/2… @joseadserias @SENC_ @CNCajal_CSIC @FdeCastroS @CSIC #SantiagoRamonYCajal #ArtAndScience #Neuroscience #FulbrightEspaña #BrainHealth #UniversityOfSouthCarolina

This moment will be discussed in MBA classes and motivational speeches. There was no added pressure in his mind because for him it was just about winning the next point and the next game. Doesn't even bother keeping track of the score in his mind. Just win the next point.
