So, who had 1 week before the vote for the Albertan Separatists β€œelection fraud” tweets to start? I figured they’d start earlier. 1 week out is a bit late for the message to resonate, especially now that the Russian bots are gone. But, the entire project is pretty messy.

None--yes, none--of 'Alberta's' claims of being unfairly treated by 'Ottawa' are valid. All--yes, all--are political mendacity. Canadians, regardless of where they reside, are treated equally under federal law. A person who earns $250,000 per year in Alberta is treated no differently than one who earns the same amount and lives in Toronto or St. John's. All wealthier people in Canada have some of their federal taxes used to help less advantaged Canadians. It's a lie, meant to stoke support for local provincial politicians, that Alberta is unfairly treated by Ottawa.
