you have to be a bit sick in the head to win at this life. genuinely. something has to be a little wrong with you. you have to willingly walk into situations that could humiliate you, put yourself in rooms where you have no idea what you’re doing, ask for the thing you are almost certain they will say no to, take the shot that could make you look like an idiot, get punched in the face by life and keep fighting, get humbled, get your ego chewed to pieces. then go home, sleep, wake up the next morning and still want it. that is a strange person. that is the person I trust. that is the person who makes it.
