In other words, who's on board of this Superchain project? Off course, there is Optimism but as of right now, we're already seeing other big names like @base (By Coinbase), @worldnetwork , @soneium (By Sony) and @modenetwork . This means more activity, fresh ideas, and of course, a stronger Ethereum ecosystem. It's still early days, but the potential is just huge. Most recently, @unichain (By Uniswap) joined the roster, developing a DeFi platform with fast transactions and deep liquidity across chains. Personally, I love how the team behind Optimism balances their communication. On one side, we see overly ambitious projects, promising us the world. We’ve all seen that stuff – and there’s a good likelihood that they might just fail, especially if the team behind the project isn’t credentialed. But on the other hand, a Web3 business NEEDS to be hopeful for the future, and have that zeal to bring about positive change in the world of decentralization, transactions, and connectivity. Despite literally being named Optimism, there’s a good dose of pessimism in how they position their solution (in a good way). On one side, the team clarifies how the Superchain takes the world one step closer to radically decentralizing the internet. On the other hand, they also point out that there’s a great challenge and enormous amounts of work will be required. This is precisely the kind of thing you want to hear from Web3 developers. No project is free from troubles, and no tool can change the world overnight without hard work. Anyway, let's talk numbers. Right now, the Superchain ecosystem is a major player in the Ethereum L2 space. It accounts for over 40% of all L2 transactions, handling a significant chunk of Ethereum's Layer 2 activity. With the Superchain vision, those numbers could skyrocket. The best part? This is just the beginning. Projections estimate that figure will grow to 60% in Q4! There's so much more to explore about the Superchain, from its technical underpinnings to its impact on the broader Web3 landscape.
