That distinctive look would later become an important visual inspiration for one of Disney animation’s most famous villains—Ursula the Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid.
Beyond that unexpected Disney legacy, Divine became a cult-film icon through movies including Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Polyester, and Hairspray, while also building a successful career as a recording artist.
