We are the oldest, new #recordlabel you've never heard of.
Alternative Blueprint started as a club night back in 2000 which ran for 5 years, then we released a bunch of dope, #fearless #music on 12" & CD....[life stuff for 9 years].... Now back on it! alternativeblueprint.com

Evaluating your own mix objectively needs:
- A well-trained ear
- An understanding of why a mix works
- Understanding of why a mix doesn't work
- Distance from the project (the hardest bit)
We do mix pro evaluations. Very useful, and great value.

Choosing compression settings in mastering goes deep.
Adjusting parameters is based on how the melody interplays with the groove, the frequencies of the different parts & avoiding what's in the way, and how you want to enhance the bounce.
There are no 1-size-fits-all presets!

The worst trend on X today is musicians actually defending Spotify, spouting the reasons Spotify told them to.
You will have nothing and you will love it.

The classic analog synthesizers, from the Moog to the Korgs, had a timeless sound that's still used heavily today in production.
It's the magical & intricate sound of imperfection.

Music is the collective memory of a society.
It preserves the emotion, feelings, and culture from one generation to the next.
Music keeps us connected without even saying a word.

Never pay to submit for #sync opportunities. Even more disturbing is the new trend of some music supervisors charging for submissions, and I've even heard of some taking 50% of the sync fee if it lands!! Massive conflict of interest with the studios who no doubt don't know they are doing this. Also leads to a worse result as most of the best tracks that fit brief won't be pitched because sync pros know that paying is a scam. Altogether shady practices that should be run out of town. #musicsupervision #musicindustry #musicbusiness
