Rufus turns 13 next month.
He’s just as tiny as he’s always been. But he’s beginning to show the signs of age - that we all do.
Including losing a little off his vertical leap. There are times he walks up to things upon which he used to fly - and he’ll instead stop and wait for me to lift him.
But his metaphorical heart remains young and vibrant.
This morning I was kneeling next to our recliner. Waiting for him to jump upon it - for our morning petting ritual.
He didn’t make it up. So I instinctively reached to lift him.
He refused my assistance.
He instead backed away from my hand - and to get a better running start. And then made another, successful run at the jump.
5.6 pounds of dog. With two tons of rhetorical cardiovascular muscle.
I’m really glad he’s here.

You’re living under socialism.
It’s just socialism for rich people.

In the first week of the US’s unilateral Iran war - the US killed more Iranian elementary school girls?
Than Iran has killed Americans in the last 47 years.
Johnny R mentions God - without mentioning God.
In defense of humanity - against Artificial Intelligence.
I’m a musician who didn’t sell records.
Listening to one who did - describe the creation of song exactly as I do?
Reinforces my opposition to AI. In all things.
Because it is inherently anti-God. And therefore anti-human.
