A little Sunday therapy experiment. (based on true story) I asked AI to put my 53-year-old self in the same photograph as the little girl I used to be. And then I asked it to make us hug. That little girl grew up with two adoptive parents from completely different worlds. One Hungarian, one Korean. Two cultures, two ways of understanding life, and eventually one rather complicated person trying to make sense of both. I wonder what she'd think of the woman holding her. She'd probably have questions. Quite a few, actually. And knowing myself, she'd insist on getting proper answers. But maybe that's the interesting part about growing older. You start realizing that the child you once were hasn't entirely disappeared. She's still there in the way you think, the things you love, the things you fear, and occasionally in the things you still haven't figured out. So here's my slightly unconventional Sunday suggestion: Find an old photograph of yourself. Imagine sitting next to that child. Or holding them for a moment. Not to fix the past. Not to rewrite it.
