JOE ROGAN: You read Wired, the book about John Belushi, and something about it really bothered you.
BILL MURRAY: I read about five pages and thought, “Oh my God, they framed Nixon.” If this is what he writes about my friend, someone I’ve known for half my adult life, and it’s completely inaccurate, what the hell did they do to Nixon?
JOE ROGAN: So you felt like the book was getting its story from people outside Belushi’s inner circle?
BILL MURRAY: Absolutely. He was talking to people from the outer, outer circle. And I’m thinking, “Wait a minute. That guy way over there is telling you who John Belushi was?”
JOE ROGAN: But you knew Belushi personally.
BILL MURRAY: I did. And that’s what really opened my eyes. Once you see someone get something completely wrong about a person you actually knew, you start wondering how much of what you read is bullshit.
JOE ROGAN: Belushi obviously meant a lot to you.
BILL MURRAY: He made people’s careers possible. He brought so many of us from Second City to New York. He dragged people along with him. There were musicians who benefited from what he did for the blues. There were people who slept on his couch and stayed at his house until they made it.
JOE ROGAN: And you think the book didn’t capture that side of him?
BILL MURRAY: Not in the five pages I read. There was no balance. No compensation for who he really was. It felt like exploitation of his death.
JOE ROGAN: And that’s the problem with narratives like that. Once the book becomes the story, that’s what everyone remembers.
BILL MURRAY: Exactly. John was complicated. He died in a terrible way, but when he was on stage, he was the best stage actor I ever saw. You couldn’t take your eyes off him.
JOE ROGAN: That’s a completely different picture of Belushi than the one people usually get.
BILL MURRAY: And that’s my problem. If someone gets something so wrong about a person I knew, it makes me question everything else they’re telling me.

What a sad and pathetic nation we have become.
Lazy and selfish.
The President made the difficult decision to, likely, sacrifice the midterms in order to keep our country from getting nuked by the #1 state sponsor of terrorism, who vows they will annihilate the U.S. and Israel the moment they have nuclear weapons.
Intel clearly showed they were two weeks away from meeting that objective.
He put our safety and survival over politics.
Few Presidents would have made that tough decision.
So, gas prices temporarily go up a few dollars.
BIG FREAKIN DEAL.
No one is asked to enlist, train, strap on a gun and go to war.
They still live their everyday life happily and unencumbered, as if there was no war occurring in a far away land.
They’re asked to be patient while he winds down this conflict so Iran will never be able to wipe our country off the face of the earth.
Their only cost? A few extra dollars for gas.
Horrors…we have to pay a few dollars more for gas for a few months so our children and grandchildren aren’t staring down the nose of a nuclear warhead.
Look at yourselves, people.
You just handed our country over to the communists over a few dollars in gas money.
We can’t be any more selfish and absurd than that.
The Iranian regime promised its loyalists 72 virgins in the afterlife. Plot twist: it's 72 guys named Kevin who want to talk about their Linux builds. Eternity is long. 🖥️ #IranWar #AmericaFirst" – at Elk Grove Village, IL

Republicans got slaughtered last night because of the unpopular war against Iran. But history will vindicate President Trump’s decision to take action & prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon. Every one of his predecessors– Biden, Obama, Bush- feared this but none of them had the courage to stop it. Trump did despite knowing that he would pay a heavy political price. It would have been easier to kick the can down the road like those before him. But a terrorist country like Iran in possession of nuclear weapons could light the fuse of nuclear Armageddon. Trump had the courage to do the hard thing in an election year. That is what the truly great Presidents do, even if it means suffering an electoral ass kicking.

Last night is exactly why no President has dealt with Iran before now
We don't reward Presidents for acting in the best long-term interest of the country
We reward them for avoiding difficult decisions if it means we don't have to make any sacrifices during any given 2yr period

🇺🇸 A MAN IN CHICAGO CHARGED A FIREFIGHTER IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ACTIVE EMERGENCY SCENE.
The firefighter didn’t hesitate.
He swung his Halligan tool, dropped the guy, and police moved in to restrain him as witnesses watched.
Picking a fight with a firefighter holding a Halligan was a pretty terrible calculation 🤣
Street Fighter is looking really weird these days.
