Alphabet Radio has been in our hearts and minds throughout lockdowns and covid - now the UK is looking back on restrictions, we can focus on our mission: Create a queer radio station with one barrier to entry: the ability to get to our studio.
What now? We are looking into opening a full time studio. We are applying for funding, we are considering crowd funding.
If you have room in London zone 1-2 for a small radio studio, get in touch.
If your company/brand might want to sponsor us, get in touch.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: If you are LGBTQIA+ and would like to be involved, either as a presenter, producer, researcher, volunteer, please go to forms.gle/Eijh9wo64HEKbzdz8
The point of @AlphabetRadio is we take an intersectional approach to programming. We want everyone to be represented.

Last year for 6 months we created the most beautiful 8-hour slice of intersectional queer radio weekly. We're now ready to create the cultural, intersectional radio station, training programme and resource that the queer community wants and needs.
If you can help, plz see below!

Had the final session of @AlphabetRadio's Intro to Audio course last night. I learnt so much about making radio and loved meeting queer audio makers from around the world. Big thanks to everyone who ran it for putting together something so special 🌈✨

Thank you so much for coming! This was the exact moment you showed us how to make the sound of a drain sound like it was in a forest. LEGEND! 🌳🎙️😍

Spent my Thursday evening learning how to present music radio and taxidermy Lady Gaga Oreos with @ItsJacobEdward for @AlphabetRadio 's Intro to Audio Course. HBU? 💗🎙️💗
What better way to change media that to influence who wins awards?
We've been contacted by @britpodawards to let you know that you can be a judge, and we think it's an amazing way to make sure good queer audio rises.
Here is the application form: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

Some of my very serious™️ notes from week 2 of @AlphabetRadio ’s Intro to Audio course... “hold phone to face like you’re on the phone”
(I felt quite nervous in the first session but getting under a duvet to record an interview this evening made me feel way less anxious)

Loved getting to meet @AudioBlahBlah and hear them talk about their incredible podcast ‘Where Hep C Remains untreated in custody’ as part of @AlphabetRadio 10 week audio course! Can’t wait for the rest of the weeks to come!
