Best overnight futures price action I've seen in a while. But it's usually a prelude to something bad. Last time the 10yr moved this much overnight Trump bombed Iran on a Saturday. Time before that was election night 2024. Spidey sense says something's coming… $NQ

10 year at 5.11 after a hot CPI print. Should be ripping higher, it's not. Bond market isn't scared of inflation, it's scared of something breaking. Watch 5% 👀

This is why local AI is so important. I am unable to log in to my codex account. It keeps telling me I need to use SMS for MFA but no text arrives. I open a ticket with them and they say will be days before I hear anything. I have a ton of work I was in the middle of....

Gallup: 43% now view socialism positively, a record. Among independents it jumped 8 points to 45% in one year. This is Trumpism’s symptom. Turn capitalism into open grift long enough and voters stop blaming the grifters. They blame the system. news.gallup.com/poll/714653/…

A unanimous hike. Hawkish language. A dot plot pointing to more. But 17 of 18 Fed officials still see inflation risk tilted upward—and the policy path barely responds. Warsh bought the facade. There’s not much behind it.

Holy crap. Try this. ChatJimmy just dumped Llama 3.1 8B at ~15,000–17,000 tokens per second. The model is baked into custom silicon. Responses feel instant. This is the Taalas stack $AMD just agreed to acquire. Go try it: chatjimmy.ai

Astra made the interview for your Hermes setup.Back in July I shipped SoulMate. Revisited it with Astra. Same idea, way better product. Open it, answer the questions, get a setup that is actually yours. @NousResearch #hermesagent
Astra made the interview for your Hermes setup. You still answer. Your keys never leave your machine.

Agnes has been in my Hermes fleet for a while now and has always punched above its weight. It’s been a sleeper and am still surprised more people aren’t using it. Same-tier performance and value — plus image and video in one stack. Agnes 3.0 Flash is live can’t wait to see it work even better
𝐀𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟑.𝟎 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞. Stronger reasoning. Smarter execution. Built for real work. Free API access, and completely free to use inside AgnesCode. Build what's next with Agnes 3.0 Flash.

I love my gmktec evo x2. However, the this new one is going to cost $7k+ for a little bit more memory and exposed oculink port. Why wouldn’t I just buy another x2 or bosgame and have more space for half the price?
More memory isn’t just about a bigger number—it gives desktop AI more room to grow. @minimachinesnet takes a technical look at the GMKtec EVO-X5 Pro. With up to 192GB of unified memory and up to 160GB allocatable to the GPU, it opens new possibilities for larger local models and desktop AI agents. The article also explores the difference between loading a model and running it efficiently. For GMKtec, the goal goes beyond pushing specifications: it’s about making powerful local AI more secure, practical, and relevant to professional workflows. Thank you, MiniMachines, for the thoughtful analysis and candid discussion! It’s interesting that @grok is never even mentioned by the detractors. @elonmusk is arguably the most dangerous and unhinged player in this space and doesn’t even get a nod
I left DeepMind after 7 years (and since rejected offers to join the other two) due to severe concerns about the concentration of power these labs represent. What is currently happening in this field is deeply unhealthy for society.

I know “regulation” and “oversight” are four-letter words in this country — especially when the companies racing toward this are chained to quarterly reports and stock prices. But if the people building it are saying they may be gambling with civilization, a little oversight might actually be warranted. The problem is that the same firms and donors — Thiel, Musk, and the rest — have poured huge sums into the campaigns and networks around Trump. That makes it much harder to get any real check on what they now treat as their right to pursue, even if it puts the rest of us at risk. I just find it hard to fathom that Our tech overlords have anyone’s best interests at heart but their own.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Serious question. These will probably be $7k. Why is it better to get one of these instead of two 395’s?
