Vest has seen insane growth lately. Whenever a project grows this fast, there are inevitably questions. Much of the skepticism is understandable if seen only through the lens of a perp dex, but that’s not what Vest is per se. If BreakoutProp or other funded account platforms released their numbers the volume/OI would look very similar. This is the most novel model for a trading venue I’ve seen in many years, try it out for yourself!
Hey everyone, First, I'm honestly blown away by everything that's been happening lately. We can't thank our traders and supporters enough, truly. My team and I have been working on Vest for almost five years now. We are traders ourselves who started Vest because we thought we could build the product we all wanted to use ourselves. We spent years doing open-source research for the betterment of the industry (research.vest.xyz), often with no one watching. We pivoted dozens of times. We were told over and over again that what we were doing wouldn't work, that it was impossible, that we should give up, sell, walk away. We faced rejection, after rejection, after rejection. There were days it felt like no one believed in this but us. So to see all of that work, all of those late nights and hard calls, finally turn into something traders actually love and use every day is extremely humbling. It means more to us than I can put into words. Truly, thank you. Second, I want to address the allegations of wash trading head on head-on, because they come from a HUGE misunderstanding of how our product is different from other perp DEXs. We're not just another perps dex, but also a funded account platform. In fact the large majority of our traders use funded accounts. When they do, they can get up to $25k accounts for as little as $210. They can then open positions of up to $1.25M notional on some markets like ES and NQ. These accounts have a daily loss and drawdown limit, so most traders trade shorter-horizon and flip positions often. If they pass their evaluation phase, their trades are in “live” mode and get shown in the A-book where they trade against other traders and market participants. Because of the nature of the high implicit leverage and max drawdowns, that usually leads to high volume and low OI behavior on the live market. This is now accurately displayed on ALL OFFICIAL Vest platforms. We’ve gone through a few iterations of the front end to move away from combined 24H volume. Previously, if you hovered over the volume number on Vest, you can see the breakdown of eval and live volume. To make it even more obvious, we now explicitly display both at all times. In our API’s we now very clearly separate and document our eval and live volume. If anyone has feedback on how to make this clearer, our team is always here to listen. Part of the confusion is what is shown on official Vest platforms and what is not. We cannot control what third party aggregators use to display us. Some of them are also using information from an old outdated exchange that we are deprecating. We also cannot control if they decide to put us in the same comparison with other perp DEXs where the product offering is fundamentally different. I also take some blame for not reaching out to all aggregators beforehand and making sure that everything is up to date, but there are hundreds of aggregators out there, and I hope you’ll excuse me on this front. It is our belief that the perpetual future is the best asset class for retail traders to trade with. It has been our goal, and vision, to onboard the rest of the world - the futures traders, the CFD traders, the options traders and more - onto this form factor that we believe is ultimately better for them. We believe that funded accounts are the best way to learn and trade with this new form factor because it lowers the barrier to entry. We have been extremely blessed beyond belief to achieve this mission. If you search up vestexchange on twitter, we have thousands of traders from traditional finance that have never traded perps, receiving payouts and expressing really positive feedback on our platform. Many of the feedback is that “we are too good to be true” because our rules are so trader friendly. I will continue to answer all feedback and hopefully continue to help explain anything people are uncertain about. Like all other platforms and exchanges, affiliates receive a commission on referrals. Some partners also have content creation and partnership deals, but these are few and far between and we ask all of our affiliates to disclose when posting. Candidly, we also don’t really want to burden our balance sheet with 5 or 6 figure retainer deals because that value should be passed onto traders in any way we can. For those who haven’t tried out Vest. I would love to onboard you! For those who are FUDDing Vest (mostly competitors), I would ALSO love to onboard you and for you to see why we’ve achieved such fast growth! It is our goal to build the best platform for retail traders, and I am glad that our product is putting pressure for innovation in this space.

The problem with neoclouds is that they are buying from a monopolist, unlike Rockefeller, who could buy oil from anyone and then create a horizontal monopoly on top of diverse suppliers. Actually it’s 2 monopolists - Nvidia and then TSMC below them, who run the show.
I remember 3 years ago thinking man some Rockefeller type should buy up all these neoclouds and roll them into an unstoppable conglomerate At the time it would’ve cost something on the order of ~$10B to buy every single one (CoreWeave, Nebius, Crusoe, Runpod, etc etc). Today that’s ~$250B. In a year it’ll be ~$1T That person unfortunately never came. If they had we could’ve seen the closest analogue to Standard Oil this century

The iron law of the hedonic treadmill says that the ideal nw to retire is perpetually 2-3x your current net worth. This holds up surprisingly well all the way up to about 100 or 200
Let’s say you hit a $5m net worth at 45 years old. Is it even worth working towards $10m? I don’t think so. Live on 3% and you get there either way.

The scam where US banks push Americans into savings accounts, which are both lower-yield (basically 0) and less safe than a money market fund or even equities index, was bound to end eventually. Whether it’s by stablecoins or agentic finance or both.
Fascinating. Chief Economist at Apollo: agents could cause a bank run by sweeping household cash into accounts paying 3-5% instead of the 0.1% national average, causing banks to lose a large share of their cheap deposits.

We are shocked and saddened to learn the news of Hsin-Ju’s passing. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all those who were close to her. This is an unimaginable tragedy for many of us who worked alongside Hsin-Ju in this community, and we share the heartbreak and devastation of this loss. We have not spoken to her directly for over 10 months and we are not aware of the circumstances surrounding her death. We have no further information, and only wish to ask everyone to be respectful of those who are grieving.

I'm very proud that @hack_vc invested in @MeckaAI's $60M round. Josh has been a friend for many years and it has been very inspiring to see his journey in solving data for physical AI. When they started almost nobody thought collecting human motion data this way would work at scale. They just kept building. Now, their data fuels some of the most powerful models in the world. Congrats again to @joshavata and the whole team.
Today @MeckaAI is announcing $60M in funding to become the data and deployment layer for physical AI This raise will allow us to scale our data infrastructure, invest into new verticals, and deploy robots into the real world

We’re excited to back @silicondata as they bring computer futures, indices, and data transparency to the world, including powering the CME’s landmark compute futures product next month. Compute x Finance
We are happy to announce a $30.5 million initial closing of our Series A, led by Valor Atreides AI Fund (@valor @Atreidesmgmt), with investments from @CMEVentures*, @DRWTrading, @FPrimeCapital, @SamsungNext, @vaneck_us, @further, @jumptrading, Tectonic Ventures, and @wintermute_t, and participation from @breed_vc, @hack_vc, @blank_vc, @SancusVentures, and @sogalventures. The infrastructure underneath the round: daily GPU pricing benchmarks built from roughly 100 rental platforms in more than 40 countries, over 150,000 verified pricing records a day, continuous history since September 2024, alongside the GPU Forward Curve, the Silicon Data Token Index, the RAM Index, and SiliconMark performance benchmarking. Our raise comes as @CMEGroup prepares to use Silicon Data benchmarks as the reference price for its planned cash-settled GPU futures market (pending regulatory approval) - a regulated instrument that will allow market participants to manage changes in GPU rental prices against a published, daily benchmark. The Series A will fund expansion across four areas: benchmark pricing, performance measurement through SiliconMark, institutional market and alternative data, and risk infrastructure for derivatives, insurance and credit markets. * Correction: in a previous post, we had mistakenly listed @CMEGroup as an investor instead of @CMEVentures.

We’re thrilled to announce our investment in @axisrobotics Axis Robotics is cracking the embodied AI data crisis with hybrid data pipelines. Can’t wait to see the “GPT” moment for physical AI.
We’re thrilled to announce a $12M Seed round, led by @hack_vc, with participation from @NomadCapital_io , @PiCoreTeam Ventures , @10kventure and top angel investors. Physical AI has a data problem. Models need more than static datasets—they need diverse data that evolves with them. Axis’s compounding Data Engine is here to fix this gap. Our end-to-end closed-loop workflow unites large-scale simulation, egocentric real-world capture, and human-in-the-loop post-training to unlock scalable production of structured, multi-diverse robotic data — the core missing piece for Physical AI. The capital will accelerate Axis’s mission to build a massively parallel, human-in-the-loop global data engine. We’re just getting started.

We’re looking to invest in no less than 7 of these.
has anyone thought of an aggregator of prediction markets aggregators, then adding a routing layer on top of it, then adding an intent auction for better price discovery, then a chain for AI agents to make the market more efficient with arbitrage between aggregators then a TEE for tipping the sequencers offchain, then propAMM for less slippage for offchain prediction markets?

One of the next frontiers for onchain lending will be privacy: the ability for institutions to allocate, earn, and manage positions without showing their strategy to the entire market. Today we announce with @Zama the launch of the first confidential vault: confidential USDC can be deposited into Morpho Vaults, allowing institutions to earn yield on their stablecoins without exposing their positions.
