I’m from a little town outside of Asheville NC called Burnsville… Burnsville Spruce Pine Little Switzerland Boone Blowing Rock Bakersville They are devastated. I last heard from my parents in Spruce Pine yesterday at 8:15 as the core of the storm went over them and trees were falling in their house. All cell towers were wiped out, no electricity, no gas, limited food and water and every single road getting up to them is washed out and not drivable The only way to get to them is by air. I’m going to send you some images I’ve gotten from friends who were able to connect to Starlink. It’s absolute the worst devastation the mountains has seen in our lifetimes We are all worried sick and no one can get in to help them. They need FEMA, national guard, Red Cross, urgently!”
