The Spirit Awards always make plenty of room to highlight smaller, truly independent films and that’s why I friggin adore em.
The love here for BIG BOYS and Isaac Krasner’s thoroughly charming performance is so delightful it’s giving me a sugar high.
The nominees in the category of BEST BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE for the 2025 Film Independent #SpiritAwards are: Isaac Krasner (@KrasnerIsaac), Katy O’brian (@thekatyo), Mason Alexander Park (@MasonAPark), René Pérez Joglar (@Residente) and Maisy Stella (@maisystella).

Glowing review from @Variety !!
"Fourteen-year-old Jamie (Isaac Krasner) is immensely likeable... Big Boys given the right exposure, is positioned to cross over in a big way."
