During an interface with the Inspectorate of Government at Parliament, LOP @JoelSsenyonyi tasked the IGG to clarify coordination mechanisms for prosecuting suspects.
He questioned whether there is proper follow-up by the lead investigative agency, warning that arrests without prosecution could turn into mere “showbiz.”
He also questioned the IGG’s criteria for prosecuting suspected corruption cases, asking why some high-profile suspects are occasionally pardoned while lower-level suspects face prosecution.
