We agree - there is absolutely no place in Bromley for racism, nor for the deeply offensive and potentially treasonous remarks about the King.

September is traditionally when we celebrate the harvest & thank God for Earth's bounty. After drought & poor harvests we must be especially grateful for our food. St Nicholas Church celebrates the harvest on Sun 20 Sept, 9.30am. Please bring food donations for local food banks.
Well that was a dramatic and tense ending! #argveng rugby!

Arthur Fery, Wimbledon semi-finalist.
An incredible achievement - the first British wild card to reach the final four at The Championships 🇬🇧
#Wimbledon
Sadly missed the actual game but delighted to see this having caught some of previous match v Dimitrov.
We need some good news stories right now.
Will very definitely be rooting for Arthur. 🤞🤞

Honouring Service and Sacrifice
Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive. A powerful reminder of the courage, skill and dedication of those who serve, past and present. Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve.

I'm sorry to say this latest craze is harmful.
Please DO provide clean water.
But please DON'T fill the dish with stones.
And certainly not marbles - glass will reach fatal temperatures within minutes of being in the sun, and will kill any insect landing on them.
Water needs to be fresh and clean *every day*.
If you put a lot of stones in it, they can harbour all sorts of dangerous water-borne pathogens and bacteria build up.
It will also make the water a mosquito breeding ground and the stones will harbour deadly parasites, like fluke.
Plus bees can get trapped and drown between the stones.
So please just provide a clean dish of tap water, with *one* easy to clean half submerged stone for the insects, or a few floating leaves, or a half submerged stick which can be replaced daily.🥰

Lovely weather, isn't it?🌞
Unless you're a nocturnal animal who has to sleep all through the hot day, and wake at night to find no water. No puddles.
No kind dishes.
Unseen.
Unthought of.
Just the tantalising smell of water from a pond you may drown in, or a drain you may get trapped in.
Or a stagnant, dirty old birdbath you may get fatal fluke from.
Hedgehogs need to drink a lot of water to stay healthy.
Please provide clean, fresh, safe, ground level water each evening for our precious nocturnal wildlife.
Tap water is best.
Pop a dish or two out tonight.
Front and back.
Keep it clean.
Keep it full.
Keep it saving lives.❤️🩹

We are firmly behind these proposals to bring a new parish hall and community facility to Chislehurst. But it needs benefactors and legacy donors. Please be generous if you can.
