Water fluoridation is a very effective evidence-based intervention. Proponents see things from their individual perspective rather than a collective good. If you want non-fluoridated water, then buy it. Let those with less choice, have what they need as matter of human right.
Genuinely surprised and disappointed to read this. Fluoridation is important for the dental health of tamariki, especially disadvantaged kids. And I had hoped Wellington Water had learnt from its earlier episode that it should keep people informed. thepost.co.nz/nz-news/350192…

Significant cost benefit of infection resilient environments. Healthy air saves money and lives. It's simple, not easy, BUT needs to be done. Engineers and aerosol scientists need to be part of public health initiatives

I love this. Great art @fatherredmcgee. Reminds me of when I did a Halloween party with blood, urine, eyeballs, skulls, fingers.....all in an attempt to stop my daughter and her friends going knocking on stranger's doors
And I was never asked to make anything for the school bake sale again

Look at this wonderful 2-way conversation between a 2mo old boy and his dad. He cant talk yet but he can clearly communicate. – at Auckland, New Zealand
Want to see what intimacy and attachment look like during infancy? Just watch two-month-old Jose as his dad shares a book. 🧠

Often in the workshops I facilitate, we have a ground rule of "no HIPPOs" (Highest Paid Person's Opinion counts most). I just found a great graphic for this via @tweetvandijk that I am going to steal with pride.

Not only does air quality affect our risk of COVID…but it also affects our sleep quality…
Interesting webinar today IAQ/IEQ and Sleep. Levels of CO2 above 2600 ppm in the bedroom disturbed sleep quality and possible reduced next-day cognitive performance! #IAQ #IndoorAirQuality

The Covid bivalent vaccine booster works better than expected. I've reviewed the cumulative data erictopol.substack.com/p/the… That's in contrast to a @NEJM essay today and 2 lab studies that used a pseudovirus assay without assessing the XBB variants
