A Met spokesperson said: "Following a broadcast by Channel 4 News on Thursday, 3 September, the Met received a number of reports relating to donations and polling involving a political party.
The MET will conduct a criminal investigation into allegations that Reform UK breached foreign donation rules on the back of the Verbatim/Channel 4 investigation, saying "there are potential offences requiring investigation"
This is statement from the MET: "Detectives have assessed the information provided and determined that there are potential offences requiring investigation. The potential offences are similar in nature to matters already under investigation by the Met's Special Enquiry Team relating to donations made to the same political party. As a result, these matters will form part of that ongoing investigation.
"All allegations under investigation relate to potential offences under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
"As part of enquiries, detectives are seeking to obtain relevant footage relating to the broadcast on Thursday 3, September.
"Detectives continue to liaise closely with the Electoral Commission and Crown Prosecution Service as enquiries progress.”
Reform has said: “Reform UK denies any wrongdoing and will fully cooperate with the investigation. We won’t be commenting further while a live investigation is underway.”

Australia says data centres need to bring their own green energy - why isn't the UK insisting on the same?
Have a listen to South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas,
"As data centres come on line and bring their own demand for energy, they bring their own supply of power"

Always lovely when someone sends you a photo of the results of sowing our seeds. Just shows you don't need a huge space to brighten up our urban areas and help bring back the bees.
The Government is due to make a decision in relation to the biggest undeveloped oil field in the UK. A resident from Stourbridge wrote this very poignant message to her MP. For a liveable climate, the UK Government must say No to Rosebank.@PreetKGillMP @andyburnham #StopRosebank

Big news: UEFA to declare loss of confidence in Gianni Infantino as FIFA president.
Statement expected imminently

Gianni Infantino took world football to the brink of civil war. What he attempted should be a resignation issue. He needs to change - or go preferably. And FIFA needs to change its culture around the presidency. Less ego, more governance.
Today Shell announced profits of £7.37bn for the last quarter. While they celebrate these eye-watering profits people across the UK are dealing with deadly heatwaves and rising energy bills. Unbelievable. @Shell @GreenpeaceUK
Reports suggest that Andy Burnham could approve new oil and gas fields in the North Sea. Is he really going to cave into the demands of the profiteering oil giants and Trump? Hard to think of a more damaging start to his Premiership. @PreetKGillMP #StopRosebank #ClimateVandalism
