I'm Iranian. I've lived under the Islamic Republic for decades. I've seen how they ruined my country and took away our freedoms and every single right we had.
They control what you can wear, what music you can listen to, how you behave in public, and even how men and women are allowed to interact. Women are forced to follow a dress code. Women can't even sing solo in public. Dancing can get you in trouble. Drinking alcohol is illegal. Having a private party with men and women together can get your home raided and everyone arrested. Relationships outside marriage are criminalized. Even what you can watch, listen to, say, and post online is subject to censorship. Social media platforms are blocked. You can be punished, imprisoned, or even executed for speaking out against the regime.
Your own home isn't necessarily safe from their interference. Your private life isn't yours. Your freedom isn't yours. They want to dictate how you live, from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep.
This is the country I grew up in. This is what I experienced. They took so much from me that I was eventually forced to flee my own country.
America, I'm terrified for you. I know exactly where this road leads. I've watched it. I lived it.
Esto merece ser viral también 😔
Two more hangings in Iran this morning:
Amirhossein Maleki, born 2007.
Amirhossein Ebrahimi, born 2008.
These innocent young men were tortured and forced to falsely confess to crimes without any evidence whatsoever.
Remember that Anti-war diaspora leftist Iranians would be outraged if a bomb dropped on the courthouse which sentenced them to death.

Your people on the outside have done an excellent job bringing us up to speed on it. During the last blackout, almost everything we saw from posters inside Iran were those white SIM cards you mentioned.
I think I may have a way for you guys to get around the blackouts and communicate with eachother. An app called Keet.
Available in the app store, or the playstore, completely free. Get it while you can.
It works by not using central servers, rather it's device-to-device communication. It uses hyperswarm, which is built on distributed hash tables and hypercore modules via the holepunch platform to find and link devices together across different networks and firewalls.
The best part; you don't give them an email, you don't give them your phone number. You create a user name and password that stays within the app itself. All messages are encrypted and the only way to see them is through the very app on your device itself. If one of you with the app is captured by the regime, they still need the password you created to access the app and messages. And even still, if your username doesn't directly correlate with your name, they can't figure out who the reciever is unless they get their phone and their password and read and correlate the conversations with both devices. You can even send files safely through the app.
If the reciever is offline when you send, the messages remain stored within the app until they're back online.
You can even create groups which can only be accessed by sending contacts you've sent the link to. And you only gain contacts by searching their username. You only have contacts by knowing someone's username and searching for it.
I'm telling you, this isn't some paid sponsership I'm making. The app is free, and may be your people's best way of communication with eachother. As I'm typing this, I've found that communication with the outside world may still be impossible, I will include a screenshot that explains it more thouroughly. It will be in English, but perhaps if you send the screenshot to Grok, it can translate it all.
Again, it's completely free. I will also include a screenshot of what the app looks like. It could be your best way to counter the regime's blackout. Communication is key to everything, and since the internet will likely be just restricted to certain users and be very limited, the wholepunch technology should still work.

A coordinated mass-reporting campaign backed by the Islamist regime in Iran has been targeting Iran-based, anti-regime, pro-Pahlavi accounts on X, leading to their suspension.
Many of these accounts are eventually restored, sometimes after days or even months, because the reports against them are baseless. But the damage is already done. Suspensions, especially repeated ones, can completely derail an account’s growth, reach, and ability to communicate.
This is a deliberate, coordinated attempt by the regime to manipulate and control the Iran narrative on X.
It is essential that @X and @Support investigate this abuse and take action against accounts engaged in systematic, meritless mass reporting of dissidents.
This is particularly urgent for dissidents inside Iran. They are risking their lives to tell the world what is happening in their country. They should not also have to fight coordinated efforts by the regime to silence them on X.
