As the clocks are about to change and the weather is getting colder, we're thinking about the risks facing energy consumers this winter. More than ever people are struggling due to debt, lower incomes, and higher energy costs. A cold winter could tip many people over the edge 👇

Asking for help is hard. You need to be in a good place mentally, build up the courage etc. Consumers who need support have a horrifically complex journey currently, having to ask each service individually. (1/2 👇)

With the news about Hitachi pulling out of Wylfa, and the low popularity for nuclear energy from the Climate Assembly... I hope we don't end up with a modern-day equivalent of Zwentendorf

My EPC is currently D. There seems to be very little as a leaseholder I can do to improve the efficiency of my property - even when you're willing to pay (although, not £5k for £25 a yr savings...). (3/4)

There is something ironic about producing a brief slide for a presentation about our recent customer service report citizensadvice.org.uk/about-… whilst at the same time arguing with my own energy supplier that they are not addressing my issue with them😡

2 years ago we decided to improve the way we coordinate our advocacy work and think beyond one workplan cycle of a year. Our programme on how people experience the future energy market is now coming to an end & I've blogged about the journey >>> wearecitizensadvice.org.uk/h…
There are a lot of changes going on in the energy industry at the moment, not only recovery from Covid-19, increased consumer debt, but also trade sales, digital transformations etc. It's important that any changes in service don't negatively impact customers (thread 👇 1/5 )
We also identified 4 areas for action based on opportunities to improve
- Encouraging engagement,
- Providing high quality personal service,
- Helping customers reach net zero, and
- Tackling the loyalty penalty.

We have also written a blog from the report findings, looking more specifically into maintaining services and channels of communication through these transformations and recovery from Covid (5/5) wearecitizensadvice.org.uk/r…
