official now: anthropic is preparing the release of their new model(s). Via The Information
Anthropic is reportedly preparing a model that, when asked to fix one bug, can identify the broader class of problems behind it and ask whether it should address those too. That account comes from one anonymous tester; the model family and release date remain unclear.
But looks like it will be a significant jump compared to their released models.

WOW, the source code of MAI-Base-2 blog contains the validation loss of intermediate checkpoints in the ladder and the big run.
LMAO.
NEW: Anthropic is walking back Claude Fable 5's policy to covertly degrade performance for competing AI researchers, after facing fierce backlash.
“We’re changing Fable 5’s safeguards for frontier LLM development to make them visible,” Anthropic tells WIRED. “We made the wrong tradeoff and we apologize for not getting the balance right.”

GPT-5.5 could completely wipe out half of all Claude Code subscriptions in the next 1-5 months, predicts Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei.

Introducing TurboQuant: Our new compression algorithm that reduces LLM key-value cache memory by at least 6x and delivers up to 8x speedup, all with zero accuracy loss, redefining AI efficiency. Read the blog to learn how it achieves these results: goo.gle/4bsq2qI

GPT 5.4 IS THE NEW SUPREME LEADER OF ALL LLMS 😂
GPT 5.4 Extra High beats all other LLMs and tops LiveBench By a robust margin
This model is legit and isn't just benchmark maxxed. We double checked.
We are RUSHING to incorporate this in key agentic loops like Deep Research and Excel where it outshines EVERY OTHER MODEL BY A MILE

With the Claude Code shutdown. I am proud that we build Codex in the open with our OSS repo and we are 100% invested in supporting a flourishing ecosystem of agentic coding tools out there.
You can already build on top of github.com/openai/codex/tree… directly, which includes ChatGPT login and same usage as you get in codex. Reach out if you are a builder!

Trying out GPT-5.2-Codex. These new models finally have the spatial reasoning to drive good design.
It can do the same beautiful HTML / CSS animations Gemini 3 Flash and Pro do.

🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: CORNYN'S CLUTCH YES SEALS DEAL, ENDS 40-DAY SHUTDOWN NIGHTMARE
Boom, it's over, folks!
Sen. John Cornyn just barreled into the chamber fresh off his delayed Dulles dash from Texas, casting that golden 60th yes vote to invoke cloture and bulldoze the filibuster.
He paves the way for the final passage of the bipartisan Continuing Resolution that cranks the government back open after a brutal 40-day stall.
With 8 Dem defectors (Shaheen, King, Hassan, and crew) teaming with the GOP to hit the magic number.
The CR funds ops through Jan 30, flips Trump's mass fed worker firings (and bars future ones), pumps SNAP food stamps full till FY 2026 for millions, and locks in a December Senate showdown on those expiring ACA subsidies to keep premiums from spiking.
Back pay flows, services resume, no more airport chaos or park closures; it's a pragmatic win amid the chaos, though Schumer's salty no-vote crew calls it a GOP cave.
Cornyn's hero hour?
After holding everyone up, his yes flips the script from MIA memes to shutdown slayer.
House up next, expect a quick rubber-stamp. Relief for furloughed families, markets popping; Trump's admin scores early stability.

🚨🇺🇸 WHERE'S CORNYN? TEXAS SENATOR IS HOLDING UP SHUTDOWN ENDGAME
It's a real-life "Where's Waldo?" thriller on Capitol Hill; the Senate's pivotal vote to bust the 40-day government shutdown filibuster is stalled at 59 yeses.
All eyes are on lone holdout Sen. John Cornyn as he races from a delayed Austin flight landing at Dulles Airport to cast the magic 60th ballot.
Cornyn was in his home state, Nov. 9, filing for 2026 re-election in Austin during primary buzz, then allegedly hopped American Airlines Flight 376 from Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) to Dulles (IAD).
But delays pushed touchdown to 9:50 p.m. ET, per flight trackers and DC reporters confirming he's "en route from Dulles now."
That's a 40+ minute haul to the Capitol in traffic, leaving colleagues twiddling thumbs as the tally freezes.
Expect a yes from the pragmatic Texan on the bipartisan CR (funding to Jan. 30, ACA vote in Dec, firing flips).
If he makes it, shutdown over; if not, Day 41 beckons. Clock's ticking, Waldo... er, Cornyn, hustle!

New breakthrough quantum algorithm published in @Nature today: Our Willow chip has achieved the first-ever verifiable quantum advantage.
Willow ran the algorithm - which we’ve named Quantum Echoes - 13,000x faster than the best classical algorithm on one of the world's fastest supercomputers. This new algorithm can explain interactions between atoms in a molecule using nuclear magnetic resonance, paving a path towards potential future uses in drug discovery and materials science.
And the result is verifiable, meaning its outcome can be repeated by other quantum computers or confirmed by experiments.
This breakthrough is a significant step toward the first real-world application of quantum computing, and we're excited to see where it leads.
