Day #8 of 5k every day until your 79th favorite NFL/WNBA/NIL Agent & Attorney signs 50 athletes.
Actually, I’m running every day until our agency:
Signs 50 athletes (8/50)
From 50 states (7/50+DC)
From 50 schools (2/50)
With 50 guests (0*/50)
With 10 athletes drafted or Olympians.
*Georgie the cat may be the first at this point.
+ Bonus goal of buying my mom a house.
This could…take a while.
Also, every video includes a highlight of one our Algorithm Talent Athletes.
Today’s Algorithm Athlete of the Day is Auburn Gymnast Kaylee Bluffstone!
This series is to bring attention to both the athletes and our NIL/NFL/WNBA Agency, as well as my law firm Sandberg Phoenix.
HMU if you ever have questions about NIL!

Finally working on a piece on the Protect College Sports Act "PCSA", and realized that it is already 4,700 words...
With that, here is a small piece since I don't expect anyone to read the whole thing:
"I’ll go ahead and comment on SEC 128 “Protecting Opportunities for American [Redacted] Athletes”, again drop the “student athlete” label already. I think this is the shortest section of the entire bill:
“It is the policy of the United States that any institution of higher education participating in intercollegiate athletics should prioritize domestic students in the selection of [redacted] athletes and the awarding of athletic opportunities, including grant-in-aid and roster positions, on the varsity teams of that institution.”
That is it, that is the section. Let me say this very politely… Institutions of higher education participating in intercollegiate athletes will prioritize winning.
Athletic Directors and Head Coaches are not keeping their jobs because they signed a bunch of blue blooded Americans. They will keep their jobs because they find the best talent in the galaxy, recruit their butts off to get them to "college town X", and then develop and coach them to the best of their abilities to win games, meets, and matches.
Not a single fan, booster, or alumni in the stands will care where their starting point guard is from when they hoist up a National Championship trophy."

Our team @sandbergphoenix is proud to represent Gus Tettamble, an outstanding student on graduate school and tremendous tennis player at Abilene Christian University.
Today, Gus was granted injunctive relief in St. Louis City circuit court. The order keeps him eligible to play tennis for a fourth meaningful season of competition.
Gus played only 4 matches—all in the fall, not the spring championship season—as a freshman, unable to compete in more than 30% of competitions that season due to painful patellar tendinitis in his knees. He needed judicial relief after the NCAA denied a belated (but otherwise well-supported, straightforward) waiver request submitted by his former school, Tulsa University. We appreciate Tulsa’s support of Gus in this litigation and the efforts they made to persuade the NCAA to do the right thing without resorting to the courts.
We’re happy for Gus that justice was done—and pleased that the court also ruled even absent the waiver, Gus would be eligible to play under the plain text of Bylaw 12.6. The plain, unambiguous language of the Manual defines what eligibility is—as the NCAA has conceded in sworn affidavits across the country.
We agree with the Court that enforcing an extratextual policy based on press releases and tweets violates the plain language of that contract.

The order by Governor DeWine isn’t legislating eligibility.
It simply instructs Ohio schools to decline to apply an extratextual eligibility restriction on Class of 2022 athletes.
It is also demonstrative of the reality pointed out by Tennessee’s head coach Rick Barnes earlier today:
This isn’t about athlete or lawyer greed.
The NCAA’s mishandling of the five year rule rollout has caused the chaos the NCAA has so frequently argued (without a single real life example of a displaced athlete) would be caused by permitting 2022 athletes to play in the first place.
From applying the rule retroactively only in part to drafting a rule that textually doesn’t contain the 2022 Carve Out to spending millions lobbying Congress for a law that likely provides 2022 athletes the same relief the NCAA is simultaneously spending millions of dollars in Big Law fees to fight in court— it is unequivocally the NCAA, not athletes, who created and is perpetuating the chaos.
As a result of this conduct, the college basketball season, which is the NCAA’s cash cow, is now in a state of turmoil less than 3 weeks before the opening tip.
Athletes, I fully endorse @BenGChase and I recommend reaching out if you are looking for an agency that can help. @AlgorithmTalent
In August, my law firm, Sandberg Phoenix, launched a full service agency Algorithm Talent, and we’re just beginning to get officially off the ground.
Since launch we have a roster of eight athletes:
Four High School Football Players:
Jake Sneed, 6’6” TE - Toledo Commit
Smith Lessard 6’7” TE - Princeton Commit
Grayson Mowery 6’5” T/DL - Air Force Commit
Tylar Robinson 6’2” - ATH - Uncommitted
One College Football Player:
Romello Patterson - LB @ Coastal Carolina
One College Gymnast:
Kaylee Bluffstone - Auburn
Two Elite & Former Collegiate Gymnasts:
Riley McCusker - Florida
Trinity Thomas - Florida
It is REALLY hard to build an agency through DMs, and it’s also really hard to compete with so many incredible and talented agents/agencies in the space. So I decided to do what I always do, and try something different… and here we are.
Running, every day, until Algorithm Talent hits these five goals:
50 Athletes
50 States
50 Schools
50 Guests
10 Drafted or Olympians
+ Bonus personal goal of buying my mom a house.
50 Athletes: Just like it sounds, we’re trying to grow the agency, one athlete at a time. Right now we’re at eight athletes.
50 States (+DC): So really 51, but you get it. We’re currently at seven! Florida, Connecticut, South Carolina, Texas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, & Ohio.
50 Schools: Have athletes at 50 colleges. Right now we’re officially at two: Auburn & Coastal Carolina. We aren’t counting our former Gators, or our commits, they have to be on a campus right now.
50 Guests: This one will be tough, but I’m inviting anyone chasing something, athletes, coaches, friends, to join me on a run. I’m very slow, so there is that bonus. Do I count Georgie the cat and the snake from today’s video?
10 Drafted or Olympians: College Sports are Pro Sports but this is us hoping to have the honor of standing behind our athletes at the next level too.
+ Bonus: Buy my mom a house/home. I call this the “5+1”, five goals for the company, one personal goal for me. My mom and I lived in 14 places before I graduated high school. I promised her as a kid I would buy her a house. So that’s my personal North Star here.
Athlete of the Day: Every episode will include me highlighting one of our current athletes. Whether it’s to help them get more exposure in recruiting, telling their story as a person, or targeting a new NIL deal. My hope is to platform them to the best of my abilities because they given me the opportunity to be a part of their journeys.
Today’s Athlete of the Day:
Tylar Robinson (@tylarrobinson) , ATH out of University School in Ohio. Through eight football games he has 10 touchdowns, averaging 90 yards a game. On the other side of the ball he has three picks and is averaging over 8 tackles a game. With offers from Kent State & Bowling Green, Tylar is making moves his senior year. Fun Fact: Tylar plays the Cello, and would love an NIL deal with Chipotle.
This video is obviously way longer than future videos as it’s a table setter. Also, I won’t be running five miles every day haha.
Tentative theming:
Mondays: X/50 Athlete Update
Tuesday: X/50 State Update
Wednesday: X/50 Schools Update
Thursday: X/50 Guests
Friday: X/10 Drafted
Saturday: Mom’s House (more just about me day)
Sunday: “Long Run” because NIL/Branding/Representation is about the Long Run, so Sundays will include an NIL tip of the week and a look back at the full week complete update.
Obviously Thursday/Friday are a long way from now, but we’re closer today than yesterday.
I genuinely believe without a goal you can’t score, so here are six goals that I’m putting out there and hoping together we can make them happen.
I will say tomorrow I won’t be running at Depot Park at 6:30am, that was my mistake on this one. Tomorrow’s run will be around 11am starting in NoMa area of Washington DC.
Thanks for reading/watching, and I’ll see you all tomorrow.
