Introducing SKY-001, the first Engineering World Model. On CAD and BIM tasks, it beats GPT-6 Astra and every frontier model we tested: -> 51-125x faster - > 150-210x cheaper -> Higher IOU than all frontier models SKY-001 lets you dream a physical object before you build it. 18 months of work. Built by the team out of Maluuba's deep learning lab (acq. by @MSRResearch). The first ‘AI General Engineer’ will be the backbone for Autonomous Manufacturing.

Uber is so fucking shady. The so called “People’s First Transportation Alliance” is actually funded by Uber. A more accurate name would have been the Uber First Transportation Alliance. They are hiding the fact that they’re funding this anti-autonomy group, and listed a bunch of “founding members” of the group that had no clue their names were being used! They just organized a protest against a bill that would bring autonomous driving to DC in 2028, demanding human drivers be required well past then. DC is such a critical city for autonomy, because we need congress to be able to try the technology for themselves. The fact that they can’t is holding federal autonomy legislation back. Fuck Uber and everyone involved in this group. They want people to die so they can make money continuing to exploit their drivers.

Google’s Harness is a significant release + a meaningful step towards broader recursive self-improvement (RSI). Further work is needed to ensure improvements are reliable, generalisable + independently verified.

Python Mind Game: 90% of boot camp graduates fail to track this basic reference pointer loop correctly on their first technical interview board. While assigning variable strings feels intuitive, ignoring how memory allocation handles mutable vs. immutable objects leads to production data mutation bugs. Look closely at the snippet in the image below. What will be the exact output printed to the terminal console? s = "hello" t = s s = s.upper() print(t) A) HELLO B) hello C) Error D) None Drop your choice and architectural justification in the replies below. Are you relying on native string immutability guards to freeze your state parameters or explicitly duplicating memory buffers to prevent reference leakage across concurrent threads?

The way some people defend their favorite AI company is genuinely embarrassing. These are corporations competing to sell you intelligence, not football teams. If your favorite model gets beaten tomorrow, just use the better one. You don’t need to hold a fucking funeral.

This week @jvisserlabs explains the death of hedge funds and why so many of them are blowing up. We cover the lessons from LTCM, why CPI doesn't matter anymore, whether Anthropic growth is slowing, why bitcoin is holding strong, how tokenization could reshape Wall Street, and Elon's flying car. I cannot recall any other time in the tech industry when the COMPLETE industry (from small to large companies; nonprofits to VC-funded; private sector to government and academia) is trying to figure out how to change the dev tools and processes we use. all AT THE SAME TIME!!

great to see NYC pick up the slack when the federal government seems a bit lost.

Your Tesla is now an AI agent đŸ€Ż Tesla just put Grok Bot inside its cars, and it’s not a dashboard chatbot. You give Grok a job and it does it. Through Connectors it reaches your email and calendar to book appointments, reservations, even online orders. And it knows you’re in a Tesla, so it uses your location and route. Say I’m late, find a coffee shop on my route and order a cappuccino, and it’s waiting when you arrive.
