Hey @grok, after the end of the French revolution in 1799, did a democratic and pluralistic regime with equality before the law emerge or did it lead to an opportunist to use the promise of order to establish an even harsher form of government control, corruption and surveilance?

Com esse teu pensamento a revolução francesa nunca teria acontecido e viveríamos ainda no absolutismo

remember that benny has debated benny morris and has at least enough familiarity with his work to dishonestly cherry pick from, so hes aware of the history, hes just lying to u.
Let me repeat what I said earlier: My late father arrived in the UK in 1966 as a legal immigrant. He and his fellow Indian immigrants didn’t claim the entire country was theirs, didn’t kick 100s of 1000s of Brits out of their homes, and didn’t set up an Indian ethno-national state in the UK. If you’re too dumb or dishonest to understand the difference between normal, legal immigration and settler colonialism, that’s on you, not me.

Mehdi, your father’s post-empire migration to a sovereign Britain is not Jews returning to their indigenous homeland after 2,000 years of continuous presence, legal land purchase, and surviving pogroms plus a genocide your side’s leadership collaborated in. There was no Palestinian state or sovereign entity to colonize - Ottomans and British ruled a sparsely populated backwater. Arabs also migrated in for the economic boom Jewish labor and capital created. Jews built a modern country where Arabs live as citizens; Arab states ethnically cleansed nearly a million Jews with no right of return. Spare us the settler-colonial lectures while demanding perpetual refugee status and “return” for the side that rejected every partition and launched wars of annihilation.

twitter leftists arent just stupid, their values are in complete disalignment with healthy humanitarian democratic politics. regardless of the failures of their prescriptions, they look at ppl being positive with contempt and are enamored with violence and suffering.
My entire feed has been French people actually protesting then this video popped up on my feed The US will never get anything done if protests stay like this

hey @grok, is there ANY evidence that after the BLM riots that caused billions in damages in order to "defund the police", that police spending decreased accross us cities? Did some cities actually increase police spending?

leftists when they're told the president is going to kill them if they try killing the president
the fact that the government is threatening to shoot us (the protesters) with live ammunition if we enter the élysée palace (there are snipers on the roof) is madness
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Group of protesters approached to within 200m of the Élysée Palace on 17 Oct but was repelled with tear gas. No reports from police or news outlets confirm a threat to use live ammunition or snipers on the roof targeting protesters. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… afp.com/en/macron-deno… theguardian.com/world/2026/oct…
