How it started vs how it’s going - Barrister edition.
In 2018 I was fresh out of uni and on the Bar Course. I bought myself a deck of business cards to boost my networking because I didn’t know anyone at the Bar and it was all up to me. I handed these cards out to all the Lawyers I met.
6 years later, @LambChambers printed me my first deck of business cards as a Tenant.
Since day one I backed myself because I knew exactly where I was going to end up.

Was chatting to an old school member of circuit today. He was telling me about two former pupils who weren’t taken on when he was a pupil too. One is now a KC the other a VERY senior member of the judiciary. Some motivation for those who are feeling rejected right now I hope❤️

Hey legal twitter, are there any legal aid immigration solicitors out there with capacity for asylum (including appeals) referrals?
My colleagues and I are trying to find legal reps for multiple clients but it's proving a real struggle.
To those who have completed the bar course: how did you manage to retain this much information/get through the reading lists and judge what the salient points are? Confused at the concept of learning and retaining roughly 4000 pages… any advice is appreciated!
