Jump ... the chasm is never as far as we think.
Excellent @MitchWainer
Every startup has two gaps to cross before it can scale.
1. The penny gap: getting someone to pay you at all.
2. The chasm, the space between early adopters and the mainstream. Crossing it means finding product-market fit.
Crossing the Chasm by @geoffreyamoore is the book I point founders to for that second gap.
After you cross it, the curve keeps moving.
To keep scaling, you have to keep innovating and launching new products. Meta is a great example of this.
Facebook bought Instagram and WhatsApp and kept launching new formats like Reels and Threads. It even renamed the whole company Meta.
Each move kept it relevant long after it crossed the chasm.
You have to be conscious of where you sit on the curve and adjust your strategy as the business evolves.
How the sun can shine on one side of my house and black clouds can be on the other side - it reminds me that in big sky country what you see really often depends on what you look it. @SkyeGrove – at South Africa

One of ‘my own’ has just had a terrifying experience with a shocking @Uber_RSA driver. She is fine - thank god - and I am going through necessary official Uber channels to address this. Any other advice desperately welcome @SkyeGrove – at South Africa
This is a public health warning from @SkyeGrove (she’s too cross to write this herself). Do NOT watch @TheWatcher on @netflix. We dedicated two nights and a bit of this morning and ‘it’s unresolved’. We cannot get that time back (excellent cast but really?!) – at South Africa
No one else can ever be you. @Pink happy belated birthday. I really think you and I are already best friends - I’ll wait for you to catch up!! – at South Africa

Thank you @donpackett and @saraharnoldhall for this excellent ’note-to-self’ and let’s also remember to trust ourselves. #WeCanDoHardThings #youbeyou – at South Africa

Long discussion about the stone collection and whose idea it was to bring it back into the house - again!
I’d just like to translate this - it was really rather nippy at home this morning! – at South Africa
When you feel like you have nothing right always look up. We are part of something so much more than we ever give ourselves credit for. We can do hard things. I move you, bye.
My fabulous @SkyeGrove out this (the longer version!) and it’s worth watching because there is always hope, light and faith and people who are providing it all. Happy Wednesday the light bringers.
In our darkness, literally, there is always light. My brilliant @SkyeGrove is a light bringer.
If ANYONE is considering purchasing from reliablestore.co.za - DON'T. I'm not one to complain but this company should be shut down. They are a joke and an expensive one at that. @hellopetercom hellopeter.com/reliable-stor…
Propelled myself out of my warm cosy bed thinking ‘shit it’s Monday’ then while I was feeding our zoo and then ‘my birds’ outside in the cold I thought how lucky am I get another Monday. So here we are - lucky for a brand new day. We can do hard things. I love you, bye.
I totally agree. @SkyeGrove and I are incredibly lucky and earn well and one of our most frequent conversations is just this.
