Are today's announcements of trade talk deadlocks indicative of an upcoming no-deal #Brexit?
Professor @AlexRuyter from the @BCU_Brexit thinks that today has just highlighted what has been the government's plan all along.
Professor @AlexRuyter:
“COVID-19 has sapped the ability of Government to devote time and resources to [the Brexit talks]. The prospect of a No Deal coming on top of the coronavirus disruption could tip many businesses over the edge and would devastate our manufacturing sector."

This is terribly sad news. He was a wonderful comedian and a really lovely man and I feel honoured to have known and worked with him. The world has been robbed - he had years more joy to give. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52262490

Apologies for the typo but more like twenty months rather than two months. Just reiterates the magnitude of the problem

It’s true. UK could have signed up for the EU ventilator scheme, but didn’t. So they lost out on 15,000 ventilators and an extra 12,000 by mid April... several European newspapers reported this

My wife just went to the supermarket. They were letting ten in, ten out. Everybody queued politely and 2 metres apart. When she got in, the shelves were full. Everyone was polite. We can do this.

Six of our ambulances were deliberately damaged overnight in Kent. Beyond disappointed that anyone would do this ever, let alone now when our staff are under so much pressure. Well done to Fleet & Make Ready teams for getting these back on the road asap 1/2
