That Twitter remains functional with so many of its engineers canned is a testament to their quality as engineers. They built a reliable and stable distributed system. Any company would be wise to hire such a demonstrable talent as a laid-off Twitter engineer.
A core assumption of @Ground_app is borne out by their own reporting: partisan news sources differentially cover certain stories, shaping the information landscape of partisans. I assumed this already, but its stark to see it occurring day-to-day.

For example: the right doesn’t know about failings of the police and the criminal justice system when it wrongfully imprisons innocent people. This is further compounded by never learning when the system works to fix itself. They’re never told. xitter.cf/ground_app/status/1595…
An Ohio man was awarded $45 million after he won a civil lawsuit against a local police department for being wrongfully imprisoned for more than 20 years. ground.news/article/ohio-man…

Every US immigration discourse ever is just "if we're not so racist we could just increase the immigration capacity and thus making literally everyone's life better".

What I eventually realized is that a reason some people are extremely mercenary is that their model of the world is devoid of duty/loyalty/honesty/etc. Those people have a very hard time modeling the behavior of people who aren't completely mercenary due to ethical limitations.

Dying Twitter is the best Twitter.
You’ve heard of a supernova, but what about a kilonova?! A kilonova occurs when two neutron stars or a neutron star and a black hole collide and merge. @NASARoman, launching no later than May 2027, will help us learn more about these phenomenal events. go.nasa.gov/3UsVBpd

Not interested in paying for verification. I’d pay for better content from my fellow users, fewer ads, more enjoyable interactions, fulfilling conversations, safety & positivity. I don’t think he knows how to sell those though.
I enjoyed the 3rd season of #StarTrekLowerDecks ! Spoiler for finale. Great ending but I’m confused by the timeline here. Buen Amigo looked ~25 years younger in the flashback. How old is Rutherford supposed to be? Surely not in his 40’s did I miss something?

Studying the gamma-ray skies can be really sweet! A multitalented scientist, who bakes in their spare time, captured the likeness of our Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope in chocolate. The real satellite isn’t as tasty, but it has made some delicious discoveries about our universe.

Worms and meatballs: great on spaghetti (if you’re adventurous), great logos. But we want to know: which is your favorite? go.nasa.gov/3ActyBI
