INBOX: King County Superior Court Judge Judge Sandra Widlan has ruled that I-2066, the initiative that banned state agencies from encouraging the phase out of methane gas use, is unconstitutional. Widlan said it violated Washington state’s rules around ballot measures.

I’m glad to have folks like Alex fighting for us in Olympia. Let’s get this passed!

Voter support for the capital gains tax makes it clear, it’s time to reform our upside down tax system in Washington.

Initiative 2117 was funded by a millionaire hedge fund owner from California with ties to the fossil fuel industry. This initiative will cut investments in clean energy, transportation, healthy forests, and more. LET’S VOTE NO!

Multi-modal transportation can reduce pollution and is critical to the 25% of Washingtonians who don’t drive. That’s why Transportation for WA’s mission is vital. I appreciate their endorsement and I’m committed to promoting equitable public transit!

Haven’t filled out your ballots yet? Here’s a reminder to reject the efforts of powerful interests:
NO on Initiative 2066
Attacks energy efficiency and would increase your energy bills.
NO on Initiative 2109
This would strip billions of $$$ from public schools and childcare.
I’m proud to have the endorsement of the @IBEWlocal191! For over 100 years, the IBEW has been working to protect electrical workers while ensuring the highest standards for the electrical industry, which keeps our communities powered⚡️⚡️
Among the many exciting features of Mount Vernon’s new Library Commons building is its public EV charging station—now one of the largest in the US. I agree with Senator Cantwell that transit-oriented projects like this create more livable communities.

It’s a privilege to be endorsed by, supported by, and to fight alongside the @whatcomdems and @skagitdemocrats. Together we can advance policies that increase housing stability, improve education, protect the environment and defeat the MAGA-backed initiatives.

Mount Vernon has just opened its Library Commons project, boasting a massive children’s library, ample parking with EV chargers & a community kitchen. It’s being hailed as a “national model” for rural development and I’m proud to have supported it.

I support the efforts of Bellingham council members to get rid of junk fees for tenants. Costs to renters should be upfront and consistent, not hidden and piecemeal. These costs create added barriers to stable housing.
