I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

if you want to be a loser and eventually hate others and yourself, you should sit at home all day on your phone, watch other peoples lives, gossip about them & don’t put any energy into learning a new thing or skill, to distract yourself from the boredom

“The first $100,000* is a bitch, but you gotta do it. I don’t care what you have to do. If it means walking everywhere and not eating anything that wasn’t purchased with a coupon, find a way to get your hands on $100,000." -Charlie Munger *$200,000 in today’s dollars.

Artists running to DJ AG when they’ve got a new release to promo are missing the point entirely and just look lost in their marketing strategy.
