Building a physical network doesn’t always mean starting with new hardware. Some of the infrastructure is already out there. The opportunity is to make it useful to more businesses. That’s the idea behind onocoy. The onocoy open marketplace connects compatible GNSS reference stations across manufacturers. Operators contribute positioning data and earn solana:onoyC1ZjHNtT2tShqvVSg5WEcQDbu5zht6sdU9Nwjrc. onocoy validates the data and makes it available on demand. An existing station can easily be added to this network, benefiting both the owner and a business in need for reference data. For the network to become a sustainable business, connecting supply is only part of the job. Customers need useful coverage, reliable data and a reason to keep paying. That’s what makes this model worth watching: not just how many stations connect, but what businesses build with their data.

What happens when the positioning signals we depend on become unreliable? GNSS interference can disrupt transport, autonomous systems and critical infrastructure. Building resilience into positioning, navigation and timing is a challenge across the industry. Tomorrow, October 14th, onocoy President and Co-Founder Daniel Ammann will moderate “Navigating the Storm – PNT Resilience” at the @esa NAVISP Industry Days in Rome. Following Ramsey Faragher’s keynote on resilient PNT in automotive, Daniel will bring together experts from QASCOM, Septentrio, Allium Associates, Dimetor and TrustPoint to discuss this challenge. The topic connects directly to our work: through an ESA NAVISP project with @ETH Zurich, onocoy is exploring how AI can detect spoofed GNSS observations across community-operated reference station networks. We look forward to exchanging perspectives on how to make positioning infrastructure more trustworthy and resilient. 📍 Sapienza University, Rome 📅 October 14 · 15:10 local time

Robots and autonomous machines need to know exactly where they are. For many outdoor applications, ordinary GPS isn’t precise enough. GNSS reference stations provide data that compatible positioning systems use to calculate centimeter-level positions. onocoy brings these stations together in one open marketplace. Here’s how it works: Station operators contribute data and earn solana:onoyC1ZjHNtT2tShqvVSg5WEcQDbu5zht6sdU9Nwjrc. High-quality infrastructure can serve more customers beyond its owner’s own projects. onocoy validates the contributed data. Connecting stations is one part of the job. Checking the data they supply is another. Businesses access that data on demand. Applications range from surveying and precision agriculture to drones, robotics and autonomous vehicles. The marketplace is hardware-agnostic, connecting compatible stations across manufacturers. That’s the idea behind onocoy: turn fragmented positioning infrastructure into a shared resource for the machines that need it.

A vessel can broadcast its position all day. Someone still needs to receive it. MastChain rewards people who provide useful AIS coverage. Every well-placed @MastNode helps build the bigger picture.

DePIN incentives should direct infrastructure where it creates the most value. That’s exactly what our Areas of Interest are built for. The 2x AOI bonus now covers priority maritime routes across India and the Middle East until the end of Q1 2027. Onboard your @MastNode now.

INTERGEO runs September 15 to 17 in Munich, Germany. For anyone outside the GNSS world: it is one of the main events for surveying, geoinformation, mapping, drones, land management, and geospatial hardware. onocoy will be there. We will also use the event to meet potential Sixents G20 host locations in person. If you're attending and have access to a rooftop, mast, farm, marina, company site, or existing GNSS location, come talk to us. Apply here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

Love seeing the new Wingbits Map features in action already 👀✈️ #GQ801 from Brussels to Athens, an Airbus A320-251N, squawking 7700 and descending near Munich with the emergency alert picked up live on the map. 🚨 This is exactly why we built it. Live plane spotting. 48-hour replays. Real-time emergency squawk alerts. The sky just got a lot more interesting to explore. 🌍✈️

More MastNodes don’t automatically mean better coverage. The right nodes in the right places do. Imagine two locations. One is beside a busy port with several receivers already covering the area. The other sits along an underserved coastline with large coverage gaps. Which one adds more value to the network? The second one could. And this is where @MastChain_DePIN gets interesting. MastChain isn’t simply trying to put as many receivers online as possible. Its Proof-of-Coverage approach is designed to measure where useful AIS coverage is actually being contributed, with incentives able to favour areas where coverage is scarce. So the question changes from: “Where can I put another node?” to: “Where does the network need another pair of eyes?” A strategically placed MastNode can help: → extend coverage → reduce blind spots → capture more AIS signals → strengthen the network’s maritime picture And there’s another layer. MastChain signs AIS messages at the source and works to validate the data entering the network. So location isn’t just about earning rewards. It’s part of building the network itself. That’s what I find most interesting about MastChain. The contributors aren’t simply operating hardware. They’re helping determine where the network can see. And when enough of those strategic locations connect together, individual MastNodes stop looking like isolated devices. They become pieces of a much larger picture. More coverage. Better data. A clearer view of maritime activity. The real opportunity isn’t simply more nodes. It’s better coverage, where it matters most. @MastChain_DePIN

Been reading through @MastChain_DePIN white papers and docs lately, and honestly… this project is way cooler than I expected. It’s one of the few DePIN ideas that feels real, not just crypto buzzwords taped together. The idea is simple: 👇👇👇👇👇👇 People deploy small maritime devices → they collect AIS + environmental data → everything gets stitched into a global ocean map. Crowdsourced, decentralized, transparent. The architecture is clean, modular, and honestly pretty elegant, feels like something built by engineers who actually care about reliability, not just hype. If you’re into DePIN, ocean tech, or just like being early to things that actually matter, keep an eye on this. The network is growing fast and soon i will be able to do an unboxing video of the actual device + more details incoming, just keep an eye on the horizon!!🌥️🌐⚓️🚢 #depin #Web3‌‌ #AIS #hardware #environment ref link: app.mastchain.io/auth/sign-i…
