One thing I have to say: I know everyone views trading picks for a player as surrendering draft picks. Because.. well, that’s literally what it is. Lol. BUT, if you consider WR to be the biggest need on the Raiders’ roster, then you likely consider LV to go WR with an early pick. Needless to say, acquiring a player like Garrett (for example) eliminates that. And, more than that, completely frees up your first-rounder (in the event you’re able to keep it—shouldn’t be a problem). So, I get it. You’re giving up premium picks. But you’re actually freeing up your first-rounder in this exact scenario. Because you no longer have to feel handcuffed to the WR position early.

To your point, I thought NO played Bowers well. He was dominant, absolutely. But his dominance came from winning against good coverages, not leaving defenders in his dust / sitting on an island. A player like Brock Bowers can be like a perfect pass - no defense for it.

Players I think are attainable: - Terry McLaurin - George Pickens - Garrett Wilson - Marv Jr - Nico Collins - Chris Godwin Parker Washington feels the least available, despite his $$ situation. *Not to be confused with me believing teams want to trade any / advocating for any

The Ashton Jeanty situation is so tough. On one hand, his presence alone is invaluable to the Raiders’ offense. Defenses continuously sell out for the run when Jeanty is on the field, and Kubiak has used that to his advantage with the use of PA, allowing Kirk to move the ball downfield. But on the other hand.. we aren’t talking about Jeanty not looking 100%. We might not even be talking about Jeanty not looking 80%. His wiggle is minimal, he’s struggling to shrug off tackler, his burst is non existent, and his cuts are unspectacular. It’s only fair to assume his discomfort is contributing to his abundance of drops as well. Add in the fact that Mike Washington is a home run threat, and at this very moment in time, it’s hard to keep Mike off the field for an extended period of time. It’s never easy to take Jeanty off the field, even when he’s hurt, because defenses fear his presence and therefore commit to him. But it may be for the best to take him off the field for a time while he heals up.

Pickens is realistic, imo. He’s on the tag and if Jerry can get legit value instead of forking over a long-term bazillion dollar contract, I know he wouldn’t be mad. Me personally, however.. Pickens makes me nervous. And it has nothing to do with his talents.

Reliving the moment: The Raiders came out of the half up by 3 and with possession of the football. 10 minutes of regulation later, they were trailing.. by multiple possessions. Momentum completely gone with nothing to build on. From that exact point, LV went the remaining 20 minutes of regulation: - Allowing 0 points - Creating 4 turnovers (all in Q4) - Scoring 19 points of their own - Ending the game at NO’s 35 with 53 seconds on the clock — more than enough time to put more points on the board, had that been needed

I can never understand the mental gymnastics people do to discredit Lamar Jackson and keep him off top QB lists. This is, quite literally, the most prolific running quarterback in the history of the NFL, who .. *checks notes* also happens to have the BEST QB rating of all time. By an entire .5, at that. “QB rating isn’t a great ‘stat’” Okay, sure. But QB rating is in direct correlation with how efficient a quarterback is *passing* the football. Only 4 qualifying QBs in the history of the NFL have an all-time QB rating above 100. They are: Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes. All elite all-time passers of the football. 2/3 with MVPs (Which Lamar has 2 of). 2/3 with rings “The playoff success isn’t there” Lamar and the Ravens have won a playoff game each and every time they made the playoffs since 2020 “But it hasn’t gotten him to the big game” Let me stop people right here. Nobody cares about this. And I’ll prove that right now. 2 active QBs have dominated the playoffs and won multiple Super Bowls. One of those players is Jalen Hurts. And despite this, you’d be hard-pressed finding any Jalen Hurts super fans. Sam Darnold is the reigning SB champ under center. You won’t find any Sam Darnold super fan. Sam Darnold who, by the way, led 2 different teams to 14 wins over the last 2 years with 4k+ passing yards. Jalen Hurts who hasn’t led his team to less than 11 wins since 2021. Hasn’t changed fans perception on either of those guys. Why? Because people don’t actually care about the rings.. only when it’s convenient to their argument. But Lamar is a better QB than those 2 players. That is true. Actually, I think most people would agree the top-4 QBs in this league—in no particular order—are Lamar, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Patrick Mahomes. One (1) has any amount of rings. A second one once made it to a Super Bowl, 5 years ago now. People don’t care about the jewelry when ranking QBs. They just don’t, even if they want to. “But he doesn’t make big plays when it matters most” Yesterday, Lamar Jackson drove the Ravens into field goal possession in.. SIX (6) seconds, walking away with a W after beginning a drive in a tied game with 7 seconds on the clock. Unsurprisingly, such a feat has never been accomplished before. Because, why would it be? It’s just nonsensical. And yet it happened. And just as a bonus, Lamar’s 3.35 TD INT ratio is 2nd all-time to only Aaron Rodgers. He doesn’t turn the football ever. And that’s, I don’t know, kind of a big deal. Please stop the madness. 2x MVP, 3x 1st-team All-Pro who some fans will do anything to discredit. With as many SB wins as the best QBs in this league, and as many SB appearances as the people’s QB1.
