Before Binance became Binance, there was Homer & Marge. 🟡
CZ and Yi He’s story goes back to 2014, when they met at OKCoin. Three years later, they co-founded Binance.
But behind the scenes, things were less corporate.
In internal meetings, CZ was “Homer.” Yi was “Marge” or “Marjorie.” A Simpsons reference that fit naturally with the yellow culture that would come to define Binance.
The aliases spread across the wider Binance ecosystem, with Yi still being known as 'Marjorie' internally today.
Two founders. Two Simpsons aliases. One very yellow piece of crypto history.
Before CZ became one of the biggest names in crypto, inside Binance...
