1. Another thread about showers (and why they are hit and miss by nature). Here's a way to remember the difference between rain and showers: If you were standing under a shower (in your bathroom), you get wet but the rest of the bathroom (hopefully) stays dry...

More 500 objections lodged! Help us get a few more to protect our ancient woodland: eplanning.derby.gov.uk/onlin…
1/ Remember back in lockdown, I was doing the weather from a beautiful field, full of birdsong and with views looking north towards the Derbyshire countyside? Developers now want to build there and destroy the only green wedge next to Derby's last, precious, ancient woodland

3/ The road is dangerous, there was a fatality there only last year & it's not designed for the level of traffic this development would bring. Local services already fall short of the needs of residents, with no new GPs or schools in this proposal. BBC: tinyurl.com/5f54c2fk

First election since 2010 that I've not worked as a journo. Feeling very nostalgic and wishing a fun and caffeine-fuelled night to all my old broadcasting colleagues who will be working a long night to bring you the breaking news, as it happens from all over the country.

This is a huge logistical challenge supported by an army of people who are passionate about what they do. Weeks of work culminate in a 24 hour finale where everyone works as an amazing team through the night and into the morning after. It was always a privilege to be a part of.

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED ✅️ Huge thunderstorms 🌩⚡️⛈️ coinciding with... ✅️ Being able to hear the mighty @DownloadFest INSIDE my house... which is approximately 9 miles away (I believe it is currently Queens of the Stone Age rocking the mainstage!) 🤘🤘🎸

So happy that @dcfcofficial have been promoted. This club means so much to the city and after all of the uncertainty of the last few years, it's great to have some good news! #DCFC #TheRams #DerbyCounty

Hi @SamsungUK. I've had truly awful customer service since purchasing one of your products. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years but I've recently been passed between 3 different departments and no one is listening or trying to solve my problem. Please help!

I've reached the... "if I've not got it now, we won't have" stage of Christmas Day food prep. To all those still shopping, good luck and godspeed - it took 2 hours and 4 supermarkets to find a broccoli that wasn't already mouldy this afternoon 🥦🤣🎄...

I've just watched this documentary which follows the Queen's life from 1990 to 1991 in terms of her political and diplomatic calendar. Really fascinating and well worth a watch. Elizabeth R - A Year in the Life of The Queen: bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0… via @bbciplayer
