Abuse of our staff will not be tolerated. On scene and on the phone, our people should be able to work without fear. See more on this, below. #TeamLAS
London ambulance crews and call handlers say they face sexual harassment and abuse almost every day while trying to help patients. The London Ambulance Service recorded 462 incidents in a year, including groping, threats and indecent exposure. Paramedic Gosha Graf, who was sexually assaulted by a patient, is speaking out as the service launches a campaign calling for greater respect for its staff.

I’m meeting system partners this morning to talk through and share our plans and prep for winter. It’s been a tough summer, and much of our efforts will also apply to how we keep people safe in colder weather too ☀️ ⛄️ #TeamLAS

And also earlier this morning…. Members of my team and I, joined by Chief Operating Officer @CraigAHarman, celebrated #999Day in the City of London, alongside other partner responders. #TeamLAS
On #999Day, our Chief Executive @JasonKillens KAM led a moving ceremony reflecting on the vital role our emergency services play in protecting and caring for our communities, with a two-minute silence remembering those colleagues who are sadly no longer with us 💚

Today I had the pleasure of meeting retired colleague, Stephen, who left LAS after an amazing 42 years service. Today’s presentation was somewhat overdue, but we’re grateful Stephen came back in for us to recognise his contributions to #TeamLAS - including delivering 54 babies!

With hotter weather expected again this week, take care near water - look after children and make sure they know the dangers - open stretches of water, streams or rivers are often cold, and still dangerous.
It’s #DrowningSafetyPreventionWeek Hazardous Area Response Paramedic Bevis shares 5 top tips to stay safe near the River Thames ⚠️ See someone or an animal in the water? Call 999 immediately, don’t attempt a rescue.

Happy #IPD2026 ! Here at London Ambulance Service, we are so proud of our paramedics, whether they work on the frontline or in our control rooms. So, today to mark the occasion, we asked some of our paramedics why they are proud to work for London Ambulance Service.

Today marks 21 years since the 7/7 bombings in London. We remember the 52 people killed and our thoughts are with all those who were injured and affected. We also pay tribute to our teams and all our emergency service colleagues for their efforts that day.

☀️ Stay healthy in the heat… 💚 And help us to look after London… ☎️ 999 is for life threatening emergencies
London is heating up. Over the next week temperatures could reach above 30 degrees, choose wisely when you need our help. Remember your local pharmacy can help with heat‑related symptoms and managing hay fever. Keep cool, stay hydrated, and look out for others in the heat.
