Our NHS has been hollowed out over the last few decades. Thank you, @premnsikka, for speaking out The UK has 2.4 NHS beds PER 1,000 people Japan: 12.6 Germany: 7.7 Austria: 6.6 France: 5.4 OECD average: 4.2 This is why we have the disgrace of corridor care. It's time to invest and rebuild our NHS

Since when was a stroke not a priority? What the hell are the @NHS playing at? Or was it that the lady was too old to bother with? Was that the reason @NHS ?

NEW: 🇮🇱 🇬🇧 Palantir has just OVERRIDDEN the Mayor of London after Sadiq Khan tried to BLOCK their contract with the Met Police. Khan dared to oppose the foreign totalitarian Zionist spytech company backed by Peter Thiel embedding itself into our police, yet Palantir somehow managed to get the high court to overrule him… Now they can bid again for the £50M contract. If a company like Palantir, that uses its products to literally kill and control people, can force our own politicians to back down what does that mean for society? Palantir is set to be embedded into British Police, healthcare and defence. A total takeover. @andyburnham this is travesty.

Prof Russell Viner is the Chief Scientific Adviser to the DfE. At the Covid Inquiry, he was recently asked whether he has EVER provided advice to the DfE on Long Covid in children. His answer is really quite extraordinary. I’ve dubbed it ‘The Long Prevarication’.

It’s an absolute disgrace that in the UK we don’t have the choice of having an Novovax vaccine which has less side effects and likely better coverage than MRNA. The UK isn’t a safe country to live in. @YvetteCooperMP @andyburnham @AngelaRayner @bphillipsonMP
Good morning! Has anyone in the UK been successful in securing a Novavax booster privately? Folks here in Edinburgh have reached a dead end.

I hate that I was right about Covid. I wish it was just a cold, or ‘over’. I hate that my warnings to hospital management about the risks of stopping masking, testing & lack of proper ventilation were ignored & the outbreaks I predicted all happened & are still happening…

The vaccine-led strategy has failed to control COVID circulation in the UK because access to the vaccine has been so heavily restricted that barely anyone has been eligible for a vaccine for several years now. There is no mitigation strategy. It’s just ‘let it rip’ all the way.

Infection kills due to (a) the infection (b) organ damage from the infection (c) chemo/surgery postponed due to the infection, cancer progresses & then no longer curable (d) staff also get infected, secondary delays in assessment & treatment as staff are off (b-d) never mentioned
Infection is the second biggest killer of cancer patients. So why is the Government not addressing it? Infection is mentioned once in their 86-page cancer plan. The Government need to urgently consider infection if they are serious about improving outcomes.

Lockdown is too long ago now to be used without someone laughing in your face, so let’s blame it on chips, cereal and frozen meals. Yeah. Let’s go with that. They’ll buy that.

🚨BOOKLET: HAS IPC GUIDANCE IN SCOTLAND & WALES LEARNT THE LESSONS OF THE COVID PANDEMIC? (Spoiler: the answer is NO!) I’m honoured that the brilliant folks @SupportingHH_UK were able to use content from my thread & transform it into an amazing booklet: shh-uk.org/new-ipc-guidance-…
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿NEW IPC GUIDANCE Scotland has quietly introduced a brand new approach to respiratory infection prevention & control in healthcare. This change has MAJOR consequences for both patients & staff. The story behind it is quite extraordinary so grab a cuppa & I’ll explain… 🧵

1/ "Getting infected trains a child's immune system!" We've all heard this claim. But five groundbreaking studies focusing on children and young people prove the exact opposite: repeated COVID infections don't "exercise" the immune system—they compound damage and increase risks

Corridor Care to end by the end of 2029 - so potentially 50,000 - 90,000 deaths between now and then, avoidable Well done @YvetteCooperMP @andyburnham 👏🏼👏🏼 Just for comparison 160 ‘plane crashes’, over half the BA fleet
Honoured to speak at RCEM South East Coast conference Research estimates 554 excess deaths a week linked to ED overcrowding. Government aims to end corridor care by 2029. If this were aviation, would we accept waiting three years? We've normalised the unacceptable. #NHS
