Breaking: A significant development for the Eastern Mediterranean Gateway Act, which was approved moments ago by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The legislation now advances to the next stage of the congressional process, paving the way for consideration by the full Senate and the House of Representatives. This is the long-awaited fulfillment of a key provision in the landmark EastMed Act passed back in 2019. Finally moving from paper to reality!
The new center will supercharge cooperation in energy security, cutting-edge technology, innovation, and research — linking top universities, research labs, and private-sector giants. It will also serve as a strategic early-warning system for energy threats and geopolitical competition in the region.
