So, looks like I’m going to log off this platform for a while—perhaps permanently. It’s ultimately a net negative for me (for many reasons), & I think has contributed greatly to the deterioration of not only styles of modern discourse, but the *way* many people think.(1/2)

If you saw these buildings filled with Indigenous children today, would you have questions? Why did so many people ignore them when they were open? I'll tell you why. The government told you they were a good thing and many believed them, even to this day. Perhaps we should start here.

Yes, because as we all know (for example), stereotypes tell us that English people *always* felt they could leave “their women” around Italian people and trust it 100%… So, now we can just safely say “Europe” in this happily unified sense so they can share racial prejudice.

A few years ago when this came out, I noted that one of the most informative things about Ben Shapiro interviewing Stephen Harper was how it juxtaposed American-style “conservative” punditry against a more serious conservative policy-oriented POV. youtu.be/nVNw03gyLmk?si=dEXR…

More posts from Toronto and/or Vancouver where people genuinely can’t fathom any legitimate disagreement or dislike of Trudeau. Remember folks, now the press are *conservative* biased…
Dislike of Trudeau is mostly manfuctured by the press and Con social media. Dislike of Poilievre is organic and due to his genuine lack of anything to like. #NeverPoilievre

My view: the increasing radicalism of anti-gun groups, and the government's insistence on placating them at the cost of alienating gun users, is destroying Canada's gun compromise - and nobody is going to like the consequences. My latest for @the_lineca. readtheline.ca/p/tim-thurley…

It’s one thing to have an informed anti-gun opinion, it’s another to exploit the fact that tons of people’s firearms knowledge doesn’t go beyond aesthetics. So much anti-gun politics is hypocrisy—they pretend to want to “educate,“ but it’s fear mongering & moral grandstanding.

We’re just at that level of casual glorification of violence & war now, with music to bop to and everything. Every intellectual sitting in whatever safe American city in a high rise typing op-eds about continuing whatever violence shoulders a lot of the responsibility for this.

When someone talks about anyone else in any way close to something like “the greatest living human”: 🚩 🚩
The fact that a plurality of people have a negative opinion of the greatest living human should make you less concerned with other people's opinion of you.

I keep forgetting there’s this weird area of American culture that goes like: “Nice Canadian make me feel bad about us. Me feeling bad means I better than other Americans.” Causing uncritical, softball credibility grants to any progressive virtue signaller from up here.
Trudeau’s advice: 1) Ask attorney generals to interfere with the judiciary 2) Force women and indigenous voices who disagree with you out of cabinet 3) Invoke emergency powers and later quietly tell committees things could have been done better Etc.

“He’s gone completely silent. I think he’s going to try something” She left her abuser after over 20 plus years of marriage. She came to class because his behavior towards her had recently changed, and her instincts told her she needed to be prepared. She had never touched a firearm before, and was super nervous and scared, but she didn’t let that deter her. She walked away feeling confident, and in the right headspace to defend her life is she needs to. Helping women understand their lives are worth defending them teaching them how to defend it…that’s what it’s all about. #armthewomen

“Illegal immigration is not allowed” is the logical and intellectual level of grifters like Musk now. Next up: “Crime is illegal.”

I remember vividly, e.g., older men voyeuristically interested in Britney Spears’ virginity. And, e.g, there’s a culture of jokingly waiting with bated breath until someone turns 18. The extreme is sex crimes. But there’s a casual element many Apple Pie Americans enjoy daily.
I don’t doubt something happened to Justin Bieber, & of course show business is full of pedophiles. However, every clip of casual sexualization of minors is not “evidence” of a specific incident—people are now half realizing that this is part of American culture (& patriarchy).

This is why Justin Bieber was to protect Billie Eilish Justin Bieber Shuts Down Reporter At Grammys, After getting asked about sex. His mom sold him to P.Diddy for the weekend. She needs to be charged for not protecting her son.
