Instant Replay and Appeals are killing the game. 🤦♂️ Longhorn baseball just got hosed! Great catch by CF Pendergrass! Whoever over turned that call must have never played baseball!
Attended my grandson’s 6th grade orchestra performance this evening. WOW! What an amazing show! The more fine arts shows, athletic events, dance/cheer performances and other extracurricular events I attend, I fail to see why schools would want to do away with these programs! 🤷♂️

🚨Athletic directors, school boards, HR directors, and ISD budget directors:
‼️If your coaches are working in the summer for summer workouts, find a way to pay them! Even if it is just filling their gas tank each week, reward them for their time and dedication.
👉I have been places where we got $25 an hour, a place where we got $38 an hour, and places where we got nothing. We were going to work hard regardless. It sure improves morale to give them some cash.

I cannot emphasize enough how strong athletic programs can help turn around a campus academically. There may be other ways, but it is definitely a formula that works.

Athletics is the bridge!
For many at-risk students, athletics is the ⚡️, it’s what gets them to school, keeps them connected, & gives them purpose. If showing up for a sport gets them in the building, then it gets them in the classroom, that’s a win.
Education is the equalizer!
"That's what gets them out of bed every day."
