At 19, I accidentally started a nutrition company, flew to China to meet factories, pitched investors and hit $5M in revenue.
Here’s how a joke turned into a global business. 🧵
A weak man.
You’re blind to the fact Europe is behind the US by 40 years on tech. You are dependent on us, with no plan to catch up, aside from regulating to bring us down to your tiny level.
You don’t have an alternative. We are the alpha, you are the omega.
The military should be stepping in to enforce order. These are not poor students. They are opportunists. Shoot on sight. They do not belong in civilized society.
If they gain control, there will be WW3. America will come back to the continent to confiscate the nukes.
Tentative de pillage de la boutique Louis Vuitton, place Vendôme. La situation est chaotique dans le quartier. #17octobre
Zero attraction in this ugly couple. Be who you are, Macron is obviously hiding his true fabulous self.
Who are you kidding?
The truth
Premise:
Incentives drive all human behavior.
The corollary:
How to destroy a country:
A vast social security and support system that serves as a magnet for those who would rather not work.
An open immigration policy that does not screen immigrants to determine their ability and willingness to provide for themselves and their families.
An open immigration policy that does not screen for political and/or religious ideologies that are a threat to the country.
Economic incentives large enough to incentivize immigrants on the state dole to have large numbers of children, but insufficient for educated and economically productive mothers to be able to quit to raise a family.
The declining fertility of the most educated and productive women due to their delay to begin a family as a result of their desire and/or need to advance their careers, among other reasons, to live a life they deem consistent with their educational achievements and/or to repay their student debts.
Amnesty programs that give citizenship and voting power to illegal immigrants without consideration of their economic productivity or their threat to the country due to their religious or political ideologies.
The changing demographics and increased population due to the above factors.
The state responding to protests by increasing social support.
The continued failure to punish and hold accountable violent and looting rioters.
Government managed by a massive and growing unelected bureaucracy.
Government fraud, waste, and abuse contributed to ballooning budgets.
Anti-business legislation that makes it difficult for businesses to compete in a global marketplace being disrupted by AI, including restrictions on firing even poorly performing employees.
Overly burdensome, globally uncompetitive, corporate taxation.
Continuous increases in personal taxes to raise funds to provide for the rapidly growing welfare state.
The substantial majority of the tax burden levied on a small percentage of the population.
A growing percentage of the electorate paying no taxes and receiving welfare.
The introduction or threat of a wealth tax including the taxation of unrealized gains, i.e., taxes on paper wealth.
The flight of the most productive business builders and highest taxpayers to lower tax countries with lesser security concerns.
A growing percentage of the electorate voting for candidates that support increased welfare and laws favorable to, and/or that match the cultural and ideological needs and desires of a growing unproductive immigrant population.
The rapid rise in anti-semitism and inadequate efforts to address this hatred.
Increased borrowing by the state to fund the growing social burden.
Higher sovereign interest rates due to all of the above.
The resulting need to reduce expenditures to make the math work.
Increasingly violent protests that make life less livable for the productive and law abiding citizens leading to their accelerated departure.
And so on…
Behold the ultimate grifter. “I’ll give you everything for free, while I’m a near billionaire, and yell at other billionaires!”
One look at his face and you can see he’s got a nasty, rotten soul
The woke right really sucks.
Was Churchill stealing hundreds of billions from govt coffers?
1) Lol that any of these clown companies can compete - but competition I welcome!
2) You’re not a serious person if you’re too dumb to know the difference between the US Military owned StarShield and Starlink
The damage for SpaceX is massive
"The European Union is working toward fast-track antitrust approval for a satellite joint venture between Leonardo SpA, Airbus SE, and Thales SA, which is positioned as Europe's response to SpaceX"
The actions of the 🇺🇸 US administration have consequences.
Recent reports from 4 sources confirm that both Elon and Trump supported the restrictions of Starshield, which confirms my earlier posts stating that SpaceX is involved and part of it.
The Telegraph on Oct. 16 reported that it was Musk who proposed the speed cap to Trump — and Trump "agreed," one source said.
That sounds very likely to what really had happened including Elons denial to have any responsibility (half true) and Trumps lie which is just one more of the many he spreads every day. finance.yahoo.com/economy/po…
Unsurprising from someone whose company is founded on globalism. Literally a parasite to rubber stamp govt policy.
Good job, France. @EmmanuelMacron is the latest of the new French to destroy itself. A proud, brilliant nation, is destroying itself.
Ukraine is not our friend. They are a corrupt kleptostate, with no value to us, led by a drug addicted leprechaun.
Poorly written propaganda. US data sovereignty isn’t going to use external power.
BREAKING: Russia and the US are discussing building US data centers running on Russian nuclear power, per Putin's economic envoy Dmitriev.
"We are discussing joint projects in the field of Russia-USA data centers, including with the use of our nuclear power plants," Dmitriev says.
He says Putin and Trump are discussing a wide range of projects. "I think we will be announcing some important initiatives in the near future."
"We have previously said that there is a very large synergistic effect between Russia and the United States in the Arctic, in the LNG sector, and in other energy projects," Dmitriev adds.
Yet they didn’t and they now complain about it
TERENCE TAO:
“OpenAI did make a major breakthrough [on quasi-Riemann Hypothesis] the biggest advance on the subject in 50 years. A massive new zero-free region, very clever new technique.
Well, it’s sort of a combination of three or four existing ideas, arranged in a very unusual way. It’s not something I think any single mathematician alive would have come up with.
I think if you got the right people to work together and locked them in a room, they might have come up with this after lots of trial and error.”
The Orville Brothers really f’d up inventing the airplane rather than going to therapy. What a wonderful world we missed out on.
The left has immense cognitive dissonance regarding why Jordan and Egypt don’t open their borders to Palestinians.
Hint: read history. They did before. They didn’t behave. They expelled them.
Very brotherly!
Aptly put. Looking through Bluesky and Threads, the levels of toxicity and crazy are off the charts. They’re like piranhas there, even eating each other. Entirely uncivilized, sociopathic echo chambers.
X has significantly more diversity of thought.
Last year I thought Threads was an existential risk to X.
When Meta puts its full weight behind something -- by injecting the app into Instagram, it’s DEFCON 5:
You have to squeeze out every last drop of growth from all available surfaces to save the app.
However, I started to realize that the opposite was happening:
It was strengthening X.
If you look at any announcement by Zuck, you will see the most rude & toxic comments on the internet.
But when he makes those same announcements on X, people are thrilled about how he’s pushing humanity forward. X is a place where people are excited about the future, so it’s no surprise he and his top lieutenants are using it more than their own app.
Threads — and Bluesky — have effectively quarantined some of the worst people on the internet.
And so I had an epiphany: those apps are X’s anti-abuse systems.
